Continued mending on this sock with an old-ass darning mushroom
Bookhou
What did i do yesterday? Well...not much. I was lazy.
I was darning one of my socks and watching a lot of youtube (costube) videos.
What i'm doing today...i still don't know. I try to be productive. ( At least more than i was last week)
[Picture show a wooden darning mushroom in the front, darning wool in grey, yellow, red and blue behind it. And some light grey embroidery floss]
So I just learned that the top of my old wooden darning mushroom unscrews and there's a needle holder in the base. That's handy.

One of the problems with darning for support is that the very nature of the fabric that needs reinforcement means you may end up making the holes in the process….
The whole area here (one of many…) has been saltwater damaged and is paperthin. I started with just one hole to cover…… I still have one hole (that materialised when I was nowhere near it!! Grrr) to cover before I move on to the next section. There went my afternoon!
I think this is the nearest darning I’ve ever done ever. (Yes I am still finding holes in this thrice damned t-shirt with salt damage)
