Gen having a very mild allergy to like bananas or kiwis, and when they finally find some on their travels, Gen is like "Oh, I always liked them for their spiciness~" and people just stare at him. Senku then goes, "Omg, you stupid mentalist, you're allergic!"

honestly? i actually think the pace of dr stone is one of the good, strong points of the manga, not too fast, and not too slow either. and even tho it's a more plot-driven story than characters-driven story, imo both were done justice and developed organically, so i don't necessarily feel we're getting a premature end.
i don't quite feel it's the end we should get tho--or, more accurately, it's not the type of end nor the type of finale plot twist i was expecting. i've already said in another post i felt super underwhelmed by the revelation of why-man, and like, i'm not saying i don't like it, you know, i think it's interesting, and i like the explanation of why why-man did what they did, it says something interesting about humanity and humans, but like? idk, i guess i feel like it comes a bit out of nowhere and doesn't really fit the themes of the stories we've gotten until now. i think i'd have liked it best if why-man had to do with human origins in one way or another, because then we'd stay right in the theme of humans having the power to decide their fate with their own two hands starting literally from scratch (senku and the science kingdom), or to end it all even after reaching their greatest heights (why-man and the medusas).
i'm definitely still curious about how it will all gonna end tho, but idk about a sequel of any sort? i mean i would read it, or would give it a try at the very least, but the risk with sequels is that depending on how bad it does (or even good), it can impact our love for the original story. also sometimes it's just nice and fitting for stories to end, and the best scenario in some cases, instead of dragging the story on even when there's nothing left to stay. personally whether i'd want a sequel or not wil depend on how many questions the ending will answer and how many it will leave open (open preferably, instead of unanswered). also it's just straight up refreshing dr stone won't become another naruto or one piece tbh lol

Another AU that my friend and I often rotate in our minds that I wanted to share, because why not?
After Senku was shot by Stanley, he survived but was a bit worse. The fear of the enemy's power was more intense; maybe Stanley even shot a few more warning shots. Whatever the reason, Ryusui took the heavy decision of a retreat. Get the scout team back to the boat and leave. A lot of protest. What about Gen? They just have to believe in their mentalist that he will be able to keep himself safe until they return more prepared. The Perseus leaves, Max and Carlos jump quickly aboard.
Xeno announces that the children have run away with their tails between their legs after Dr. Senku was successfully taken out by Stanley. Gen feels dread, panic, and heartbreak. But he doesn't resent them leaving him behind. He is relieved he didn't lose anyone else, because losing Senku just destroyed him.
When Senku recovers enough, realizing they are on the ocean and they have left Gen behind, he is beyond angry and resentful. And Ryusui takes all the blame on himself. They need to retreat, prepare better, and return to save Gen.
Gen grieves Senku for weeks, quietly and when nobody is looking. But once he is done, he wants to keep Senku's legacy going. To do what he wanted so much to do: Revive humanity and stop Why-Man. For that, he needs a scientist, and he only knows one scientist here...
Getting into Xeno's head is a very slow process. He does what he needs to do to get in his good graces, and also Stanley's. He pokes and probes Xeno's brain. There's no fixing him, but he can use enough therapy knowledge to get the man off the dictator track a little bit. And when he finds a sliver of guilt about ordering Senku's assassination, he stabs into it and twists the metaphorical knife hard.
That's when Gen shares what Senku's dream was. Speaking so fondly of him. It reminds Xeno and Stanley of each other. Then he drops the Why-Man bomb and says they need to stop it. That immediately put them on alert, and Gen shares what Senku's plan was to revive a lot of people and build a rocket to stop them before they rain down petrification on them again. They agree to it, and it's a deal. Gen shares what he knows of the revival fluid, enough for Xeno to figure it out. Then they get to work.
When the KoS returns to the shores of America, it has been months, maybe even years. They have prepared more, created more technologies, and have more tricks up their sleeves. Senku has barely rested, having Gen on his mind constantly, hoping his mentalist is still safe and alive. That he doesn't hate them for leaving him behind.
When they are discovered, they are not welcomed by gunfire, but Stanley and a few of his soldiers announcing that things are different now. They can thank their little rat for that. Stanley is surprised that Senku lived, but inside, he is a little happy for Gen's sake. The kid has a way to worm himself into others' hearts. The American colony is thriving. With more people, it has grown a lot. And a large construction site where they mention that's where the rocket will be built. Senku and the KoS are gobsmacked. They weren't prepared for THAT.
Stanley brings Senku and a few of his friends into the castle, and before they can enter, they spot him. Gen, their mentalist. He's talking with people, seemingly doing some management work. And when Gen spots them, he drops all the papers he was holding, eyes locked on Senku. His whole body sways with emotions, and Senku runs to him to grab his arms and keep him up, but that only makes it more real for Gen to be touched by him. He cries out his name and hugs him tightly, sinking to his knees and taking Senku with him. He keeps saying how he can't believe it's really him. Senku hugs him back and apologizes over and over for leaving him behind. They're finally reunited, and they both feel alive again.

I've thought about something similar, but yours is so much more emotional! 😭😭
Especially if they are gone for years and Gen the whole time is thinking Senku is dead. (Worse is if they weren't together and Gen never got the chance to tell Senku how he felt)
And I agree with Stanley, Gen does have a way of worming his way into people's hearts.

Also I like how they put Ukyo as evil stepmom/one of the stepsisters when he's the biggest sweetheart in the group (Also who's the hell Ryusui and Chrome are supposed to be, I'm a dummy—)

Idk who Ryusui and Chrome are supposed to be maybe friends of Senku? I'm pretty sure in one of the Disney movies the stepsisters find someone so maybe that's them and Ukyo is supposed to be a step sibling and gets with Ryusui, but that would also imply Ruri is an evil stepsister and she's even nicer than Ukyo 😂 (or that could just be my shippers heart taking over)

I'm going to start off with how pregnant!Gen is in general then I'll do a few ships for him and how they are with him being pregnant.

Pregnant Gen
He is absolutely glowing. You think not pregnant Gen is radiant? That's nothing compared to pregnant Gen.
He would have the strangest cravings, like pickles with maple syrup that's his biggest craving, he can't get enough of it.
Also whatever he craves his mate has to try it at least once too, for solidarity [mate]-chan!
Tries not to be emotional, fails miserably.
Doesn't mind the weight gain too much but if someone else mentions it he gets upset.
Now for how his mate would be.
If it's Senku:
Will keep up with the size of the baby. Ex: At 12 they're about the size of a peach (I think that's the compatible size at that point)
The odds of them having what traits from who. (Senku-chan if I carry this child for nine months just for them to come out looking like a clone of you, we will never have sex again.)
Will not leave Gen's side (no different from Canon tbh)
No more late nights in the lab for him, he's out of there ASAP. He loves holding Gen as the omega falls asleep.
Keeps up with Gen's day today vitals and making sure he takes his vitamins, and will make sure he has the best of the best doctors.
If it's Ryusui:
Right by his side 24/7
Already has plenty of top of the line baby stuff.
Gets the baby a little captains hat 🥺
Would try to get Francois to make Gen whatever he wants when he wants, only for them to put their foot down and tell Ryusui that some things are better in moderation and eating balanced meals is important.
Hopes the baby looks just like Gen.
If it's Ukyo:
Won't let Gen lift a finger.
Will often lay his head on Gen's tummy.
Heard the heart beat before an ultrasound could pick it up.
Makes sure Gen stays hydrated and will make him ginger tea when he's nauseous.
If it's Tsukasa:
Man is PROTECTIVE of Gen. If Gen looks uncomfortable because someone is a bit too close he'll get in-between them.
Gives Gen foot massage when his feet start to hurt and swell.
Will sit with Gen between his legs and wrap his arms around him cradling his tummy and tell their baby stories.
Will tell Gen everyday how happy he is that Gen is his mate and having a child together.
