Will Sesame Street bring back Herry monster AND an actress who is deaf, just like they had with Deaf actress Linda Bove in the 1970's?
It's time. ...in 2026, it's all about inclusion.
Include children on Sesame Street who are Deaf and use American Sign Language to communicate as well as children who wear hearing aids, and or cochlear implants...have them star on the shows on tv to be shown a daily basis, not just once in a while.
It shouldn't be just American and Spanish languages. Children can learn up to 5 different languages.
There are 22 million people with some kind of hearing loss. Let's include American Sign Language. 22 million people may be happy to watch these new shows. I'm 59 and I still love Sesame Street but I'm disappointed by their lack of American Sign Language.
People who don't accept or encourage American Sign Language are actually oppressors. Audism is a very dirty word. 😔
22 million, that's a lot of viewership and merchandise sales. Herry monster's character image mixed with American Sign Language 🤟 will surely create more sales for Sesame Street.
It seems to be a win-win for Sesame Street, hope these ideas get noticed!
Let's go Herry monster and Sesame Street!
🤟☺️💜🤟🚦🛣️👍🙂🦻💙👍

I would pay an absurd amount to see a fully ASL performance of Wicked. Have the singers off stage, have a cast of Deaf actors on stage performing in ASL. It would be stunningly beautiful and this is a dream of mine. If I ever becoming disgustingly wealthy I’m funding Deaf Broadway.
Iconic DWSA reunions!!! Josh Castille posted these on his instagram stories. He saw Beetlejuice the musical on Broadway with Sandra Mae Frank and then he saw Hadestown and got to watch his former cast mate Patrick Page perform as Hades!
Happy Birthday Millicent Simmonds!
“A Quiet Place” review
Last night I finally got to see “A Quiet Place”. I have known about the movie for years because the disability and deaf communities praised it for having the deaf character Regan played by a deaf actress. The movie is excellent! It never lets up on the suspense and the ending is more realistic for the “world ending” type of plot line. The use of ASL as a survival tool is a great concept. It took me awhile to realize the aliens running around had no sight, only hearing. The aliens being only hearing and the deaf character’s implant being a main way of defeating the creatures is interesting thematically. The deaf actress who played Regan was top notch in her performance. Emily Blunt is also very good.
This is amazing news!!!
The Ziegfeld Theater Will Present Disney's NEWSIES Done Entirely in Both ASL and Spoken English
