anyways my personal headcanon is that jared “““““ironically”””””knows all the words to Despacito and when one day evan plays it for whatever reason jared sings the entirety of it in a really good accent

So excited for the new beginnings of Dear Evan Hansen and the actors off the show!! However, it’s super sad to see all the original cast leave. I’m so emotionally attached to them & my fragile fan girl heart can only take so much :,)

And I noticed something. “All that it takes is a little reinvention. It’s easy to change if you give it your attention.” This song is sung at the beginning of the lie, these lines are talking about Evan reinventing Connor to fit his story and changing the past as he does so. Evan and Jared create a new Connor for the emails, a Connor who was getting better. These lines have a double meaning, Connor changing for the better and reinventing himself and Evan and Jared changing Connor to fit the lie and “help the Murphys”.
