…You know, maybe if Berdly’s mom is a high-school teacher in the Undertale timeline…maybe that means she and Alphys have kind of a roleswap (or at least jobswap) thing going on and his mom is a scientist in the Deltarune world instead?

That would at least give some sort of explanation to why she’s so busy she has seemingly not noticed her son falling into a coma in the Weird Route...?

im afraid of casual enjoyers of Deltarune. what do you mean you've been playing since SURVEY_PROGRAM but when i say "there's a high possibility with evidence that the knight started to reflect on their fountain making while making the second dark fountain in the church" or "the rose that was there in the weird route scene before toby had to change it just confirms that the thorn rings were tenna and spamtons rings" or "ralsei might not have wanted susie to use healing because it means he would be petrified soon" or "despite there being much more evidence for dess and/or asriel knight papyrus knight actually has more solid evidence than we give it credit for" you look at me like I'm INSANE

so on the level of "if you held Ralsei's hand and walked out of the dark world, what would be in your hand when your eyes readjusted to the light" Ralsei is Kris's old red horn headband, but on the level of "what is Ralsei", I think he's the past vision of what Kris wanted to be. They wanted to look like their older brother. They wanted to be nice and friendly. They wanted to defy gender roles and wear green and be a goat like their family. And when they grew to accept themself as human and understand their identity better, they didn't need the headband any more - because they didn't need to try and conform to the expectations they believed they were under any more.

What’s your Deltarune theory hot take?

Mine is that Asgore or Asriel being the knight while probably not the case could be true and would be an interesting twist. Also there really will only be one ending but it will be like the Undertale Neutral Ending where there are many variants depending on what exactly you did.

I dont know everything there is to know about the code stuff with deltarune/undertale, so forgive me if this turns out majorly incorrect due to something I forgot, this theory is just for funsies.

So, hot take, i don't think Gaster is the man who speaks in hands. I know, scandalous. I don't think the font/cipher he speaks in is solid connection(yet). My theory isn't solid at all either sooo. I think the man who speaks in hands is the man behind the tree, and I do not think the man behind the tree is gaster, they speak differently. I was thinking about the use of the word man, it's not a word I recall showing up in either game a whole lot. I am curious to see how many times the word "man" is used, but college isn't even giving me time to eat or sleep, so I won't be able to get to that soon.

My point is, it stands out to me, as opposed to any other phrases to narrate a being we cannot see at all like "someone", "somebody", something, "person". This goes for the well known phrase "beware the man who speaks in hands" there's that word again man. Could this "man" perhaps be a human? It would explain the narrative choice for the man who gives us the egg to be behind the tree out of sight.

But what about the other part of that phrase you ask, we don't get anything about the man behind the tree's hands, but my theory continues. For the man behind the tree to be behind the tree in that position, could imply some sort of awareness to us the player, and our point of view. As for the hands, I think the man could be signing to Kris as he speaks, to not make us, the player suspicious. "Beware the man who speaks in hands" could be warning the player, not Frisk as they do not encounter anyone who speaks in hands on any of their journeys. The egg may be an incentive for the curious player to seek the man out. Being behind the tree would make sense if the man is signing to Kris. They could be conspiring against the player, or just distracting us from progressing, as finding the man always takes up a notable amount of time.

the knight's animations before the titan fight are really interesting though??? Like their visor-mouth becomes an eye and all at once they're so expressive instead of animalistic or robotic??? A big mockingly joyful stare, then bored once Susie mentions the Fountain, then they literally roll their eye at Susie's false-bravado. and then the big scary laugh, and a giddy and mocking look. are they just doing this because it's fun for them? do they just enjoy throwing down with people, or is it because it's Kris/Susie/Ralsei/all three? they're clearly having a good time raising hell. they're downright smarmy about it.

but it's so weird and I want to know how this works now. Where was all this pantomimed sass in Ch.3? why were they drooling and roaring then and mocking and eye-rolling now?
