Question: is this normal?
I am an afab demitrans person (woman and agender specifically) and i sometimes feel dysphoric with only certain parts of me. For instance, sometimes i would like a bigger chest (as ive mentioned im afab) and so i will wear shirts that hug me or are cut in a certain way to make my chest more noticeable but i never want bigger hips or a bigger ass. other times i would like to be male but i never want to have a flat chest or be more muscular.
tl;dr - basically my ideal body would be to have a dick but otherwise be female presenting.
so my question again, is this normal? is this somehow fetish-y?
A lot of people are only dysphoric about certain body parts, especially people like you who have more complex gender identities. It's totally okay (and not at all fetishizing) to want bottom surgery and not anything else!
is there a term for when its like youre kinda trans but still connected to your agab?
intragender, demitransgender, ANC, obligender (cw: ab*se mention), beauboy/beaugirl. check also this list of gender modalities. but you can also consider yourself fully trans even if connected with your AGAB.
Is it strange that I like certain labels for myself more than others? If you wanna be technical, I’m pan, but I use the label bisexual because it’s the umbrella term for many people that are attracted to multiple genders and I just feel more connected to it as I don’t label my sexuality on the genders I’m attracted to, I do it on sexes (if that makes any sense)
But on the flip side of that, I identify as demitrans and agender but I don’t like the term nonbinary even though that’s the umbrella term for people who don’t identify with a gender on the binary spectrum
no, it's not!
tons of people do this. finding an identity isn't for other people, it's for you. if you feel most comfortable with these labels, there is no problem with that!!
Yo, so I'm bigender and that ask from that genderfluid person got me thinking. When I Identify as female (my assigned gender at birth) I don't feel trans ig, I feel cis bc I'm 100% female and that's what I was assigned at birth yet when I feel 100% like a male I feel trans since I feel fully a male which is not my assigned gender at birth. I know bigender is technically transgender simply in being bigender and not cis but that's how I feel and idk???
I think that’s understandable, given that one of the genders you are is your AGAB you may not necessarily feel “100% trans”. Of course, this does not mean that you are any less part of the trans and non-binary communities. We even have more specific terms for these: demicis and demitrans. So try not to feel too weird about it, there are others like you out there. :)
*holds up mic*
guys *ahem*
we should start calling people who were born female but realize they are a demiboy or the other way around demi-transgender individuals
what do you think
…No, she couldn’t. Yikes!!! Yikes!!!!!
