Halloween Headcanons Day 2: Costumes
Apple would pull a Sheet Ghost™. Pull a sheet off the bed, cut some holes in it. Boom--ghost. Except he wouldn’t cut holes in it because he wouldn’t want to ruin Master Clay’s nice sheets. Instead, he’d just wait until Master Clay and Benji were gone, trick-or-treating or otherwise, and he’d take the sheet he pulled off earlier that day (”Master Clay won’t mind”) and just straight up stumble around blindly. If Clay happened to walk in on Apple doing this, he wouldn’t even mind. He figures at least Apple’s not all over him.
Once he got comfortable enough, he’d try to pull the same thing at Jimmy’s, but Jimmy absolutely wouldn’t have it and he’d either cut the holes for him or bring him shopping for a real costume.
Benji... does not like Halloween, especially not with Clay. He dresses them up in revealing “pretty” outfits and, if they’re especially good, Clay walks them around for a few blocks to trick-or-treat. Sometimes there’s parties at Clay’s friends’ houses, which they hate.
The first time trick-or-treating with Jimmy, Benji picks the most modest full-body costume they can find, probably an animal onesie that’s meant to be PJs, although Jimmy doesn’t say anything against it. That or they flat out refuse, as they do during their first Halloween there.
Jimmy--I don’t even know lol. I think he’d dress more on the cutesy/nerdy side, because scary’s not his thing at all. He doesn’t really go trick-or-treating anymore either, just because he never really has an excuse to (before Apple and Benji of course), and because he’s been told “Aren’t you a little old to be trick-or-treating?” too many times.
Clay would unironically dress as the devil. He doesn’t really do sexy so much as “sophisticated,” and--y’all know the show Lucifer, the one where Lucifer’s played by Tom Ellis? I feel like he’d try to do that, and the worst part is he’s like... kinda good at it lol. Not that anyone knows who he is for the most part, so he throws on a pair of horns for good measure and calls it a day but only if it’s for a party. He doesn’t really dress up when he dresses up Benji, because he doesn’t want to detract from how good they look in their costume. .
