been back on my batman hyperfix and specifically been thinking about how id write the riddler, who's kind of become my favourite of his rogues (backstory under the cut !)

With his design i mostly just wanted him to look over-dramatic and confident, like he's rich and he want you to know it, and like all his clothes are custom specifically to suit his over-commitment to the bit + glasses options ! i feel like they're prescription lenses

Eddie Nygma has always had a bit of an ego. As a young boy, he grew up pretty well off, not particularly close with his parents, and incredibly intelligent.

He was a straight A student, showing mastery at just about everything he tried - be it literature, science, mathematics,etc - and that, in addition to his upper class upbringing, gave him a massive ego. He was convinced that he was the smartest person in the room at any given time, looked down on his peers and even his teachers and other experts, and was cruel and mean. He passed through his schooling about as smoothly as he could, not necessarily doing anything terrible, but successfully ruining any relationships he could have had with his peers, not really having any friends by the time he graduated. Eddie went onto become an entrepreneur, starting a games and entertainment business (subject to change) and it was doing pretty well, but eddie's determination to be the best and most successful businessman drove him to start committing fraud and other underhanded business practices. Initially, it was the need for more, but after starting crime, the idea that he was smart enough to get away with it was what caused eddie to continue and even get more ambitious.

These crimes ended up being exposed by Batman (maybe they're linked to wider crime, or maybe the practices are really underhanded), and Eddie is sent to prison, and his company goes bankrupt. Eddie saw this as the most embarrassing thing that could ever happen to him, as well as a dig at his intelligence. As such, Batman became his greatest adversary, and upon buying his way out of prison, Eddie crafted the persona of the Riddler, hoping to finally outsmart batman once and for all, and, in his mind, to redeem himself from the embarrassment of being caught in the first place. . . . So yeah ! thats my idea :D some other loose head canons

ive been looking into NPD as a possibility for him, but i want to get a second opinion on that, considering i imagine him to be a dramatic and flamboyant villain character, and im not sure if thatd be a good idea

i also want to have him be bisexual and aromantic but i feel like ad need a second opinion there too

i love the idea of him having his henchmen echo and query (tho id want them to be called quiz and query) and potentially miss tuesday as well

i had the inkling to make quiz and query a girl and a guy who are in a poly-fuckbuddy-situationship with eddie, but idk if that's distateful or not

in a batman story, id definitely want to have some villains be redeemed, and id want eddie to be one of them ! especially if i end up giving him NPD

newfound obsession with my robinsona wyn <333

he's a really new character so i dont have many details yet BUT heres what i have for this au so far :D

background - in my head, jason and prime (ck) live together somewhere in gotham, relatively far from the rest of the batfam, but still within city limits. theyre not dating (yet), just roommates, friends, and hero-partners - age-wise - while wyn is 17, i imagine that jason is 23, and CK is

- i personally hc CK as transmasc for fun (i have a post about this actually), and while i also love trans jason, i think im more interested in him being amab and kind of nonbinary ish ? like after his rebirth and initial angsting pases he experiments more, and winds up thinking he's somewhere on the nb spectrum (he/they perhaps) -actual story line - i haven't come up with a family situation or anything for wyn, but i imagine he enters jason and ck's lives in a way really similar to how jason entered bruce's - i also lwk have no clue how he actually ends up living with the guys or becoming robin (he's two days old chill on me) so !! headcanons - wyn is a biiiigg literature nerd - loves reading, has a bit of a poetry hobby, and loves literary analysis, so he and jason often have long ass conversations about books theyve read, and will spend hours dissecting shows theyve watched, and video essays about the shows they watch (i'm jamaican and we read wide sargasso sea in lit, so im projecting and i feel like wyn and jason have big feelings about that book and jane eyre as a pair) - lucky for CK tho, wyn also looves comics and superhero movies, so they can bond one on one, and the three of them can have movie nights which almost always get really heated and passionate - wyn doesnt know it yet, but they have the metahuman gene, and its mostly dormant until some undecided event later in life. i feel like after this happens, they'd be able to form a bit of a bond with duke - note - even tho jason doesn't live at the manor, he's on good terms with his family, and goes over for dinner some weekends, still hangs out with his brothers, and even asks bruce to make a robin suit for wyn (which he promptly paints and accessorizes) thats all i have rn but ill almost definitely return when i have more ideas

clark and lois !! ill make separate posts for them with their character sheets and headcanons but !

when it comes to their relationship im undecided, because i love superbat to bits and thats my main ship, but i feel like clark would still have had a crush on her at some point in their friendship

also jon ? i could always have them be married and then get divorced, but clark and lois as best friends call to me, but also jon ? to be decided

but i really like how their designs came out !!

ive seen so many people make self insert ocs (or just fandom ocs in general) and talk about how much fun it is but now that ive done it holy shit this is like cocaine im having SO much fun
