Maeve: (confused) Money? For what?

Octavia: She wanted me to take care of Eleanor. But she only ever sent one check...

Octavia: She sent it awhile ago, before Eleanor went into the nursing home.

Maeve: I'm thankful you kept the envelope.

Octavia: (frowns) She--Maggie--moves around a lot so...

Maeve: ...so it might not be current? That's okay. It's somewhere to start looking.

(back at her grandmother's house)

Maeve: (soft) I'm going to find you Maggie. And find out what happened.

I find cosmic insignificance ridiculous because you're judging yourself based on how long you exist in a universe of vastly differing timescales and deciding that the big things are more important because they last longer, or you are less important because you can't affect the big things. I don't know what effect would even mean in this context, like what violence anyone would want to do on the universe, but I still think some people take it for complete granted how much complexity and exact perfect circumstances are needed to produce things that can THINK. I think being a thing that can think is very significant. If you're going to do the very human-biased thing of assuming all things that exist are ranked on an importance scale in the first place. It simply does not exist we made it up!!!!

My friend just started complaining because a Disney World commercial came on and this little white girl had on an elena of avalor costume. She was like “Why is she wearing that costume? She is as white as white can be.”  First of all, she is a LITTLE GIRL. She can wear whatever character she wants to wear. If a black kid wants to be ariel let her be ariel. If a white kid wants to wear Tiana’s costume let them. How dare you tell a child they can’t dress up as something because they aren’t dark or light enough. That was coming from a girl who’s favorite princess is Tiana and if you ask her what disney character she would want to be she would say her. She’s white. This is just like how people say plus size girls can’t be skinny people and skinny people can’t dress up like bigger people. It is so stupid. Don’t you ever tell someone they can’t dress up as someone of a different race or size. As long as it is respectful and it makes them happy then what is the problem?
