Justice League Unlimited Returns…In Comics!
Justice League Unlimited may have finished its run on The Cartoon Network 15 years ago, but the never ending battle is just that. From the minds of co-creators James Tucker and J.M. Diana and Etta meet Steve Trevor on the streets of Boston. Steve doesn’t quite remember Diana, although he feels she familiar to him. During their chat, Steve reveals the need for volunteers and nurses to help in the war effort and that there’s a ship leaving that day to take those volunteers to Europe.
This is another pretty quiet chapter, but it does keep the girls together and get them on a ship travelling to Europe. Honestly, it all feels a bit contrived in order to get the characters overseas easily. While there have been some enjoyable parts to this Boston interlude, I think it stretched on just a bit too long for my tastes. Happy to see things moving forward and getting the characters more into the action again.
I’m thrilled to see Etta remaining a big part of the story, since she’s quickly become my favorite character. The exuberance with which she attacks life is so fun and laudable! Can’t wait to see how she takes on Europe!
Slow chapter, but it contains some nice bits for the characters that helps round them out.
Team Wonder Woman ♥ Look at how Diana and Steve’s faces are glowing in the last panel when Etta joins their hug! I have a feeling they’ll all be back together in the main title too.
