The moment I held Athena on June 23rd 2024, I knew she had to be mine. This lit… Madison Russell needs your support for Help Kitten Born wit
When I adopted Athena last month, we knew she had leg deformities but didn't realize the full extent of her disability until we were able to see an orthopedic surgeon. She has bilateral carpal flexor contractures, a condition so rare the specialist had never seen a cat with it and his colleague had only seen one case. They recommended splinting her legs until she's grown more and then they want to do total wrist fusion of both front legs (two surgeries that total to $11,000). I was already shocked by the estimate and then was told that doesn't include the thousands of dollars of xrays and physical therapy she will need before and after the surgery. I'm a bit overwhelmed by all of this and just want to help this little kitten. She is just the sweetest and all she wants is to play and snuggle. I hate knowing she's in pain from the pressure sores caused by her condition and want to get her the best treatment possible. If you want to follow our journey, she's also on instagram as twisty_legs.
I just cleaned her butt, and she feels good! :)
I have to do it every day, with a soft tower and warm water (the diaper make things worst by making all the gross stuff stuck to her fur so i don't use it anymore) and after that i applied some oilment to sooth her inflamed skin.
Her legs still can't move much, but i think she's no longer in pain. I'm still learning how to take care for her, and think that both of us are doing better each day!
made a tiktok account for my boy. follow him here :3
It started with watching a polygon video about how to calculate Pet HP, and now we’re here. This is Stubbs, my three legged cat and he is a ranger. Yes, the video is linked bellow so you can find out your own pet’s DnD Class. No, it is not very helpful in calculating HP🌱
