A magic item for use in Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition tabletop role-playing game. This is a homebrew magic item created by Cloaks and Capes.

Ring of the Speedster

Ring, rare (requires attunement)

“Some say this ring was crafted from the magical quill of a blue fey porcupine. It has a smooth, blue sheen. But others speak of another ring…”

Your Speed increases by 10 feet, and you can take the Dash action as a Bonus Action.

Damage Immunity. The first time you would drop to 0 Hit Points as a result of taking damage, you instead have Immunity to all damage until the end of your next turn. Once this property has been used it cannot be used again until the next dawn.

Rings of Favoring Ring, uncommon

Created and worn by a group of monster hunters. These rings grant the wearer strength against their chosen foes.

While wearing one of these rings you gain a +2 bonus to damage against a certain type of creature. The type of creature the ring is attuned to is determined by the colored band running through the center.

Beasts: Dark Green

Aberrations: White

Dragons: Dark Blue

Humanoid: Blue

Celestials: Gold

Constructs: Gray

Elementals: Light Blue

Fey: Pink

Fiends: Red

Giants: Teal

Monstrosities: Orange

Oozes: Yellow

Plants: Lime Green

Undead: Purple

You cannot wear more than one of these rings at the same time. If you do, the rings will no longer work.

Magic Item: Ring of Second Chance

Another fun solution to the problem of a dead character, the Ring of Second Chance catches and encases the soul of a creature that dies wearing it and allows them to be resurrected by burning the ring.

As an interesting quirk, it doesn't look special when you find it but if you don't take it, it gives you a second chance to find it in a second location. Additionally, if you don't know what to do with it once it catches the soul of your deceased party member, it gives you a hint by letting you smell smoke when you come within 5 ft of it. If you don't understand the hint, it gives you a second chance at that as well.
