I made some party pet suggestions for a homebrew D&D group. Maybe one of these will convince them to not adopt (kidnap) random NPCs. 😂
Who knows if the party will end up using any, but I had so much fun creating them. I really do have a thing for making weird creatures. Jim Henson and Tim Burton really left their mark on me. 🙂↕️♥️✨

they said, don't give pets to your party if you DM
they said, don't reward out of game things with in game things
and they probably weren't wrong, but i don't regret it, because i loved seeing my shy, anxious player just LIGHT UP when his character got a cat that he got to name, portray & talk about. so maybe they weren't right either.
What pet should I give my next DND character?
I have 3 options:
Bin Chicken (Australian Ibis) - let it terrorise the local townsfolk and ruin all picnics. Excellent forager (in urban areas)(bins)
Wombat - friend shaped, dense (physically), can charge at people
Crow - intelligent enough to not be a nuisance. Will, in fact, choose to be a nuisance
My dnd character's (undead) familiar, Fluffy! He's the childhood pet of Gnancy, and was reanimated by her mentor! He also has an illusion on his collar to make him appear alive instead of a skeletal cat who constantly judges everyone.
My DnD group is obssesed with collecting pets.
First we got two oxen named Gerterude and Daisy.
Then a rabbit named Sniffles who is basiclly god and can kill with a glance but a teifling (Me) and a dragon born have adopted him as thier son.
Then we got a wolf named Jameson. (No I didnt name him)
A goblen who is techniclly a person who can think and talk but we’re keeping him hostadge and feeding him berrys. I don’t know his name.
Four Abyssal Chikens. Which are wierd fleshy things that resemble chickens. There names are Alabama, Iowa, Coleroda and Texas.

Morinth has a pet mimic named Scritches Von Scritchstien the Third, and he has a lil crown and no arms
