Just thinking about if Eddie started dating someone who has never been in a relationship before or at least a serious dating situation much like myself.
Just had a few ideas here babe
I WANT BOYFRIEND EDDIE WHO SAID THAT?!
I feel like Eddie would be more than happy to introduce the whole serious dating thing to you even though the man has never been serious almost a day in his life.
When Eddie starts to pursue you you are completely oblivious and dont see it but it was obvious that the feeling was mutual between the two of you.
Like, perse you two just hangout or even as little as walking the halls of Hawkins high. That man is always opening doors for you, leading you through crowded hallways, urging you to hold on to his beltloop if you need it and just making sure that you're close and in his view.
The thing is Eddie knows that you've never been in a relationship before. He's nosey okay? Im a firm believer in that I think that man has definitely asked and snooped around just asking about your love life or just the simple history of it all. But even when it all finally comes together when you just admit it to him about your love life he has to act shocked (not like he already knew it for weeks)
He knows all your preference by heart too. He knows how you like your music even if he is judging it a little, how you like your eggs cooked in the morning for when you ended up crashing at his place for the night, how much you sucked at math and even how you start acting when you get tired.
He was doing all of this like he was definitely plotting to be your husband one way or another.
Oh but when Eddie finally gets you? Its a whole other ballgame.
Thats opening a whole new can of worms.
So when he asked you in a very dramatic but most sincere way for you to ket him have the opportunity to be your boyfriend there was no way to refuse. (Personally I think thats the right way to go about it.)
Eddie knows that he needs to take his time with you even if it kills him (and you) both in the process.
But he learns to cherish every second of it. He's teaching you and you're teaching him.
He teaches you what normal couples could do like all the hand holding without asking, cheek kisses without thinking, the quiet reassurance and the loving out loud instead of hiding it away.
For you? You're definitely teaching him patience. For someone thats never been in a relationship before or let alone been in a serious one, you are relearning from ground zero. Sure you've seen your friends be in relationships and yeah you've seen quiet a few of them end too. But teaching him the quiet things that go along with body language, how a girl brain works and what you need as well as learning what he needs? It works for the both of you.
So those quiet sweet kisses across his face at night start to really mean something even if the ac in his room was currently broken and all he wanted to do was lay on top of you and sleep (both of you already sweating). Its the small things and Eddie most definitely panics about a lot.
But in the end for Eddie? Its all worth it for him.
