Right so Mac is sad and miserable because he’s realized that he’s been over indulging and isn’t getting any pleasure from it. And we know Mac is going to put on a straight persona in prime time because he feels as though the audience will like and identify with that version of him more. So he’s at a point where he wants to withhold pleasure because that’s where he had been most of his life, it’s familiar. He’s never satisfied with himself, whether in relation to his body or his sexuality or his religion, he’s always wanting more or wanting less. And Dennis is gonna give an emotional monologue about being themselves in prime time… guys I’m not gonna be able to handle this😭 Like seriously, Mac has been making some actual genuine progress in accepting himself but he just can’t seem to find the balance of happiness and pleasure.
