Swam this morning cause one of my herd checks cancelled. So that meant I could swim. Then left for my half day. Spent some time grazing the horses and scrubbing water tubs. They both got a good brushing too. Then I finally left for my run at 6pm. Cause it’s freaking 70 degrees here. It snowed and was freezing cold yesterday. Quite the drastic change. Anyways, I had trouble staying in zone 2 cause of the heat. But I got it done and that’s what counts.

Got in a double workout, the first in a while, 8 miles in the morning then 4 more in the frigid evening, a good time to do one as the mileage creeps up. Didn’t have time and, honestly, was a little tired to do a full 12 miler this morning. 2 a days helped break up the distance in college and have followed the recipe whenever I’ve had to do high mileage since. Double workouts always bring back good memories of college runs. Will do at least a few more between now and April.

Workout 12th February - Double workout

1st workout: 30 minutes low impact cardio

2nd workout: 35 minutes cycling level 11

Alternating Bicep curl: 16x6kg, 16x6kg, 12x8kg, 12x8kg

Tricep kickbacks: 16x6kg, 16x6kg, 12x8kg

Overhead 2 arm db extension: 22x8kg, 18x10kg, 18x10kg, 12x12.5kg

Alternating Hammer curl: 18x6kg, 16x8kg, 16x8kg

Concentration curls: 16x6kg, 8x8kg, 8x8kg

Treadmill Intervals:

30 minutes total:

* 1 min @ 4.0 ; 30 seconds @ 8.5

* 5 minutes @ 3.5

* 5 minutes @ 3.0

Chest Press

* 4x5 @ 75

Seated row

* 5x5 @120

Bicep Curl

* 4x4 @ 60

Lat pull down:

* 5x4 @120

Shoulder Press

* 2x5 @ 45

* 2x4 @ 50

Tricep Extension

* 4x4 @ 60

Assisted Pullups

* 3x10 @ 55

Assisted Dips

* 3x10 @ 70

Core Routine

* Abdominal 3x10 @90

* Torso Rotation 3x10 @ 90

* Roman chair (20,15,10) / 10@ 10 trunk extension / each side

* Glute Bridge 4x15 @ 25

* Plank 60 secs x 3

* Captains Chair: Knee raises 3x10

Elliptical * 10 minutes @ 6

I only did half on my ab routine because that area of the gym was full and I didn't want to wait. So next time I will do the rest.
