Indulge in these delicious Delta Cream Doughnuts filled with your choice of cream filling. They're perfect for breakfast or as a sweet treat anytime!
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1/2 cup milk. 2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. 2 large eggs. Vegetable oil for frying. Powdered sugar for dusting. Your favorite cream filling.
Instructions: Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl. When the mixture resembles coarse crumbs, add the softened butter and continue to mix. Whisk the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract in a different bowl. Mixing until a dough forms, pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Preheat vegetable oil to 350F 175C in a deep fryer or large pot. On a surface dusted with flour, roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1/2 inch. Using a doughnut cutter or a round cutter with a smaller cutter for the center holes, cut out the doughnuts. Gently drop the doughnuts into the heated oil and cook, rotating once, until they turn golden brown. It ought to take two to three minutes on each side. Using a slotted spoon, remove the doughnuts and place them on paper towels to drain. Dust the doughnuts with powdered sugar after they have cooled slightly. Press the tip of a pastry bag into each doughnut and squeeze to fill, using your preferred cream filling. Present and savor!
