(Before reading, know this is for an AU i'm currently developing which utilizes primarily the Sonic games, SatAM/Archie, and Aosth as main canons for inspiration, but I will pull ideas from other canons as well. Thank you for checking this out, and enjoy!)
Alright, and to christen this blog, I present to you my redesign and some backstory of my AU version of the one-shot villan of AoStH's Trail of the Missing Tails, Dr. Warpnik! I'm still ironing out his backstory, but taking a bit of inspiration from @cylent-nite, his original name would be Warren Robotnik, and is the older brother to Maria Robotnik. 50 years ago, after the raid on the space colony, A.R.K., Warren would be taken in and hidden by his material grandparents in England, taking on the name Irving Pavlov. During his school years Warren would begin looking into Multiverse Theory, and began to pursue a career in spatial based science as he got older with the goal and hope of breaking through the dimensinal barriers to find a universe were his sister still lives. In the year 3221, three years before the events of what would be the Coup of the Acorn Kingdom, Warren, still going by Irving, would be contacted by his cousin, Julian Ivo Robotnik (Dr. Eggman). Julian would come to offer Warren a high-end lab and plentiful resources for his spacial research. Julian admits he needs Warren's help and reserch to open the path to Alternate Universes for his goal of finding the Special Zone, a space between the Alternate Dimensions, to acquire the seven Chaos Emeralds for his planned coup against King Nigel, Julian would make it very clear that nobody could know where he was if did do this. Warren would accept on the condition that he would be Julian's Chief Scientist after the Coup was over and Julian had established his rule, Julian would agree to the terms, and would have his loyalists smuggle him into the kingdom in secret. Between Warren's knowledge of space and alternate dimensions, Julian's brilliant mind, and assitance from Julian's nephew, Colin Robotnik Jr. (Snively), they would, in secret, go through many attempts at creating the perfect device to enter other dimensions, which would include the unwieldy Warp Topaz, but they would find their breakthrough after seven long months in the creation of the Star Posts, a device that ran off one of Prof. Chariles Parlouzer's (Uncle Chuck's) Power Ring prototypes would successfully stabilze a gateway into the Special Zone. After the test, Julian would have his now revealed SWAT-Bots try to restrain Warren. He would lose them for a moment before crashing into a desk, sneaking the Warp Topaz into his pocket. Warren would be apprehend, just as more SWAT-Bots enter the lab with the already unconscious court magician, Walter Naugus, in tow. Snively watched in horror as Julian picked a location on the edge of the known space of the Special Zone to exile his now former Allies, Warren would promise to return and get even as Julian had Warren and Naugus thrown into the Special Zone.
