Drawing a soft little post season 11 thing and trying to find a source for a soft, happy Scully is...impossible. Did she smile once in that season?????

Tried drawing today on my Surface go and my pen was only reacting on the eraser side. I did all the troubleshooting things I could think of, updates and drivers and uninstalling and switching battery. Nothing. I ordered some new nib tips, so hopefully... That's the problem and I don't have to drop 60-100$ on a new pen.
I did try and eventually just draw with my fingers. No pressure worked with it, but at least I got to draw a bit. Clip studio kept freezing every 20 minutes tho so I just finally gave up and turned the whole thing off. Tips come in Sunday/if they're not delayed/ so here's hoping it was just the old nib being worn out.
Just sucks when you're feeling inspired and are feeling pretty good in general. Free of the usual, impending dread, adhd, chronic fatigue, depresso Expresso, anxiety and disassociation. Seems like those are the moments my technology goes, Nah bitch. I could have drawn traditionally but I was really wanted to just work on stuff digitally and listen to a show while I worked.
It's been hella gross outside the last few days too and cold af. I'm not looking forward to this weekend as it's going to get below 0 for a few days. Too cold. Brrr. I did get new front tires tho, so that's a plus. Anyway. I hope y'all are staying warm and your technology is being kind to you.
This sketchbook is terrible but also
Just trying to prove to myself that I. Actually do know how to draw a thing ? Like I’m not totally blind to and confused by basic shapes and perspective bc idk what is going on with me lately but drawing feels impossible.
(yeah this is sloppy, it’s not…like…A Piece haha)
absolutely random but how does somebody draw tabi’s head
primus i can’t figure out the dang perspective
how do you know if something is good art practice or a good art study? and not just a drawing? like how do you know if it’s actively helping or challenging you in some way or improving?
Whatever you draw today, I look forward to seeing it!! You can do it!!
ah sadly i do it in my sketchbook because im way more comfortable in that then in digital. been neglecting it forever because im always of the idea of ‘well im worse at digital but people can see it’ so i think that also has DEEPLY not helped my art because i like only do shoulders up cause fullbodys are hard for me to comprehend on there. but on paper i can do it super easy, i can see everything i can play around more so i wanna do WAY more in the sketchbook i just gotta stick with it even if it’s art you can’t see. maybe i’ll find a scanner, i know the library has one but kinda hard to get to i think.
Trouble of drawing:
Doing a really nice pencil sketch
Wanting to ink it
Messing everything up
Computer just had to kill itself halfway through my Punch Out drawing.
God FUCKING damnit.
