Also known as African Dream Root, my experiment with ubulawu constituted one of my first forays into the botanical arena. Whilst the preparation was complex and time consuming (involving sucking the froth off the top of the concoction), I actually experienced very little, or at least not enough to be certain that this wasn’t a placebo effect. The issue here, I suspect, may have been that my sample was old and dry, because this is certainly a real deal in terms of effect. I may revisit this in the future should the opportunity arise with fresher root.

Xhosa root experience on super blue blood moon and imbolc
I feel asleep in the sun's warmth and I dreamed very complex dreams until I reached a point that overshadowed all the rest of the dream. I was laying in bed, where I was in real life and I knew there was a guiding presence in the room. I never felt the need to look at it because I didn't feel threatened. Then I was drawn up into the air. I had a crystal around my neck that was pulling me up. It was leading me to the light on the curling in the center of the room. I knew that in order to achieve what was being offered I had to sacrifice my desire to mentally grasp what was going on around me in the dream. The more I let go, the closer to the light I became and energy took over all my senses. But then if I had a thought I would drift away. Gradually I learned how to let go of all thought and the energy became so much that it pushed me back. I didn't hit anything or fall, I was gently set back onto the bed. There I had great sleep for an hour but it felt like a whole night of sleep. When I woke up I felt energized. Then I had horrible cramps and negativity flooded my mind. Then I took a painful shit and felt like I purged all the negativity I was holding onto. After that felt amazing and I cleaned my apartment and listened to ma muse and rising Appalachia. It was interesting to have a xhosa dream in the middle of the day. Also, that presence I felt in the dream was in the same spot in the room that I found my cat when I woke up.
Using xhosa root
For 4 days now I've been taking xhosa root tea each morning. Night 2, I had a dream that I was in the woods. I noticed it was winter and everything was dead and cold. I felt very full of Hope all of a suddenly and I conjured spring and summer and everything turned green and alive. Nights 4, I had a dream that I had a lot of DMT and I was sharing it. It's funny because I the dream I smoked DMT but nothing really happened. Probably because my mind couldn't place in a dream what it can't comprehend lol

Have you ever gotten caught by a djinn? What did you dream of?
I've never been caught by a djinn, no. Fought a few, but I always came out on top.
Which is fortunate, because I have been caught in dreamworlds before by other means. Coma, actually. Or should I say nightmares? Yeah, it wasn't pretty. Seeing Karen covered in her own blood 'n' guts. Luckily Sam and Dean got me otta there using dream root.
