Why do men specifically think that everything women and children (or god forbid a teenage woman) is stupid and bullshit? Like I sew, spin, dye fibers, and some other textile/fiber based things and men constantly tell me it’s stupid and I shouldn’t be doing it

Dyeing adventures!!

I made some 1% stock solutions with the 6 dye colors I had (red, blue, yellow, pink, black + a gold ochre they sent me by accident)

I mixed them in a DIY hood which was just a cardboard box with paper towels taped to the sides, misted with water to attract loose dye powder. It was very effective so I'll definitely keep doing that in the future! Zero dye powder ended up outside of the box!

I wanted to do purples for the first batch, but I either heated the water up too fast, or added the citric acid too early, or both, because it split back into red and blue. But the second batch I heated it up MUCH slower and added the citric acid later and it turned out much much better!
