reblog if you’ve ever had to put a “no naked people!” sign on your bedroom door
Don't know any other way how to explain it so
You ever feel like your holding an umbrella over your younger siblings (but not you) that's shielding them from all the things you had to deal with?
And sometimes you just want to drop the umbrella and let the rain hit them. Because you never got that kind of shelter.
Or am I just fucked up and a horrible oldest sister and person.
"I'm suposed to set an example and the example I choose to set is chaos."
- Theo after dumping three buckets of gravy on Keeho.
I bare it so they don’t have to.
being the eldest child and getting all the worst genes
“Give it to your sister, your sister’s older / give her all the heavy things we can’t shoulder”
excuse me Luisa who gave you the right to be so fucking relatable-
There's something so incredibly humbling and also really heavy about seeing the admiration a younger sibling will have for you as their older sibling. Especially if they spend a lot of time with you.
You're now aware that this person looks up to you and now every mistake is gonna feel heavier than the last one, and every achievement is pressure to keep doing better because you have to constantly be a good example to them, or else you'll be a disappointment.
Your sister is back after an extended rest, thanks for being patient with me. So here’s the latest reminder; it is perfectly okay to take breaks. We can’t be going all the time. It’s not sustainable.
It's been a year since i left, and I still haven't forgiven myself for leaving them behind, unprotected--
