i know there’s like a huge disparity between the severity of crimes but it is SO funny to me that the remainder of the 100 are like “we can’t trust eligius they’re criminals” like hun why do you think you were on earth in the first place

So you’re telling me we really went from Skaikru becoming the thirteenth clan to Wonkru falling apart and there now being like 16 clans all because of a Commander (respectively) but the only person who could actually unite everyone was Octavia...an illegal existing sky person??
So I’ve recently had a little discussion with @jeanie205 about some things about the Sanctum society in season 6 of The 100 that we find confusing. Maybe someone with more scientific knowledge could help with some ideas, or explain if this even makes sense or not.
Where did the non-Prime people of Sanctum come from? I’ve always assumed that they are descendants of people who were initially grown from embryos that Gabriel brought from the Earth.
However, in one of the recent episodes, Gabriel said that he destroyed the embryos 70 years ago - and that they had about a thousand embryos, genetically engineered to be Nightbloods.
Does that mean all the embryos were genetically engineered to be Nightbloods? But then where did all those nulls and the gene carriers who are not Nightbloods come from? It was confirmed in 6x05 that Nightblood genes are recessive. So, the genetically engineered embryos would have to have a pair of Nightblood genes, right? I suppose everyone was meant to be a Nightblood because Becca and the Eligius Corporation thought it would be necessary due to radiation. So, why isn’t everyone on the planet a Nightblood?
The only people who wouldn’t have Nightblood genes would then be the original Primes, as they were artificial Nightbloods. But most of them died when Russell killed them, and it seems that none of the Primes never had any biological children other than those that they had already had before (Josephine, Kaylee, Daniel, Ryker).
Unless they did have another set of non-Nighblood embryos, which seems like the only explanation. But I’m not sure why those would have been necessary - if the planet turned out to be feasible for living for non-Nightbloods, Nightbloods could still live on it. Would Eligius have provided regular embryos if they already had the genetically engineered ones?
TWO SUNS MEANS GOOD PLANET LIGHTING
And I for one cannot wait.
Imagine all of this tenfold:
Imagine all the gif worthy footage we're going to have (says me who still hasn't learnt how to make a gif for anything let alone Tumblr) that doesn't need to be brightened and colour corrected a million times.
I am so excited for binary sun lighting. Bring on season 6!
Who else cannot wait for this????
sanctum spoilers: eligius/sanctum descendents
Anonymous said:*6x02 spoiler* We know the character who looks like Clarke is named Josephine & is one of the original Eligius III settlers. According to IMDb, the woman who led Raven & co to Sanctum is called Josephine VII. I’m guessing she’s a descendent of Josephine (7 generations in ~230 yrs checks out) but the “VII” in her name throws me off. Why would all of her descendants have the same name? I wonder if Eligius III has a similar chip technology as the flame (maybe Becca gave it to them) so once their...
Oh interesting.
There would be no flame there, because Becca developed the flame AFTER eligius 3 was lost. We saw her do it on the Polaris space station. It was her fix for ALIE, because she decided ALIE wasn’t human enough and needed to interface with a human in order to understand humanity.
COULD she be just a descendent. Yes. It could indicate that Sanctum is unwilling to move on from their past and is so attached to their ancestor’s accomplishments that they want to recreate them with the same names/heritage/beliefs. That would actually NOT be a sign of a healthy society in my book.
Could they have clones of the original settlers though? Having them reborn again and again? The josephine on the ground doesn’t LOOK like the josephine in the flashbacks though.
Okay so I'm reading a lot on eligius 3 here on tumblr and twitter and omg this shit has been coming since like s1 like everything is connected from the grounders to the ark (now both known as wonkru) to becca to season 5's storyline like can we just give a round of 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 to the writers omg
Also I'm reading that maybe the blakes ancestors have something to do with eligius 3 like if so OMG THAT WOULD BE AMAZING! honestly this show is so much more that ships like the storyline and the characters is just bomb
Oh I just thought of something
So everyone on Eligius 3 has black blood, does that mean the planet they are on, that had two suns, the radiation level will be much higher?
Do you think before everyone can leave the ship they will have to all be made nightbloods?
Making Madi as commander virtually useless?
I've got a new theory.
Okay so, I noticed in that promotional poster for season 5, Raven is standing in Eligius 3 and it got me thinking.
What if Raven figures out how to hack into the Eligius 3 files and is able to somehow contact them. I think that new character we've yet to meet (played by Shannon Kook) is from Eligius 3 and he's going to save them. He could be Raven's other potential love interest 🤔
