This whole false narrative of Azriel always wanting a mate is so funny because he has literally never said the word mate.
He only thought the word mate by calling lucien that in his mind instead of his name during his bonus chapter. The only time Azriel has even remotely mentioned being mated is wanting Elain to be his mate.
He has not once lamented about not having a mate before his bonus chapter where he wants ELAIN SPECIFICALLY. RHYSAND made an assumption about Azriels feelings towards Mor and a potential mating bond but we have no idea if thats how az felt about it.
Azriel would absolutely reject his mate to be with Elain. Anyone who truly knows his character knows this.

You can’t tell me he doesn’t feel a mating bond with Elain because this last paragraph sounds like hes going a bit crazy being away from his mate.
Parallel that to Lucien who seems perfectly fine and doesn’t even visit Elain every time hes in Velaris.
