A large percentage of us had these #basic #emotional #needs neglected or withheld during childhood. This creates #childhood #trauma and will have you behaving in ways where you don’t act as if you’re #worthy and #deserving of such basic needs from others in your #life or even with yourself.
You probably also struggle with:
➡️Abandonment issues
➡️Fear of punishment for speaking up for yourself and asking for what you are needing
WHERE DID THIS BEGIN?
💡Your #parents / guardians may not have been willing or able.
💡They might have been neglected and traumatized during #childhood themselves and are still functioning as hurt #children with their children.
💡They may have not even known that their behavior was neglecting you and felt they were providing you what you needed. This is usually due to their unhealthy beliefs and #copingskills as well as their unresolved #trauma in their #life.
❇️PLEASE REMEMBER:
It is unquestionable, no matter what you’ve been through or who you are, that you are very much in fact deserving and worthy of receiving love, kindness, respect and support. Every single human being is worthy of their basic #emotionalneeds being met. EVERY SINGLE ONE. So if you find yourself begging someone for it, set a #boundary with yourself to stop that #pattern with that individual. They’re lacking the #ability to provide for themselves and thus can’t extend you much.
