Kasim Sulton to Temporarily Rejoin Blue Öyster Cult as Eric Bloom Recovers from “Non-life-threatening” Surgery
Kasim Sulton will take the helm of Blue Öyster Cult “for a few shows” while frontman Eric Bloom recovers from what he called a “non-life-threatening surgical procedure.”
Sulton, the Utopia co-founder, longtime Todd Rundgren collaborator and BÖC bassist from 2012-2017, will take Bloom’s place on vocals and keyboards this time around.
“I am on the mend, however the recovery is taking a little longer than initially expected for healing and physical therapy,” Bloom said in a statement.
“Luckily, we have a deep bench. Our former bandmate Kasim Sulton will be standing in for me for a few shows and knock it out of the park.”
BÖC’s website lists gigs on May 16 and June 5, 10, 19 and 20 and beyond.
Sulton, meanwhile has been writing with Graham Gouldman and Phil Thornalley and promises “new music from yours truly coming soon.”

🌜The 4 Elements of Rock and Roll🌛
🎷🎤🔥 ¡Fire = Vocals or Reeds! 🔥🎤🎷
Understood "vocals or reeds" as the sound produced by one or more human throats.
Most fire spells involve the use of ours voices through singing, yes, just like in the movies👻.
As with many vocalists and popular songs, the element of fire invites us to empower, purify, exhume repressed emotions and inspire courage.
💃❤️🔥Fire magicians are magnetic and naturally seductive beings!❤️🔥💃
The human voice, as an instrument, is a roar of infinite form and meaning, executive qualities, tonal and vibrational changes, all with the benefit of 🎙️verbocentrism🎙️
🗣️ ¡EEEEEEEEEO! 🗣️
All these are properties that, unlike other instruments, require great awareness; "being present," "being in the moment."
Fire spells will help us gather courage, gather fertility, gather help for our voice be heard in abusive everyday environments, and to lead 💪💪💪.
Beware: The fire of vocalists has proven to be the most efficient for love spells and love work ❤️🔥
Both air and fire elements possess a strong masculine energy, use them consciously and under the regime of the male hormonal cycle (solar cycle).
👇Some magic vocalists you'd like to hear again, depending on your element👇 🌿Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn🌿 Bobby Kimball, from Toto 🌊Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces🌊 Eric Bloom, from Blue Öyster Cult ☁️Gemini, Libra, Aquarius☁️ Jeff Lynne, from Electric Light Orchesta 🔥Aries, Leo, Sagittarius🔥 Ann Wilson from Heart
