Neshaveh (נשוה): a Jew-exclusive term that is similar to Alterhuman in nature. It refers to the state of having a soul, mind, or identity that is nonhuman. This can include alters, otherkin or alterhuman identities. Neshaveh comes from the word for "equal/same/even souls/spirit," in reference to how in a Jewish belief, humans possess two souls that can act independently or work together. In Judaism, there is a teaching that refers to humans as having two souls: One that is human-like, always seeking ascension, enlightenment, knowledge and spiritual evolution, the other that is animal-like and seeks survival, self-serving, materialism, and physical cravings. It's said that it's possible for someone to 'teach' their animal-soul to turn away from these physical desires and instead seek spiritual enlightenment, or to become equal (but not one with) the human-soul. Neshaveh refers to this belief loosely as a base for beliefs in people who may identify more or completely with their nonhuman identity over their human form. This doesn't require the person to follow the spiritual beliefs, but they do need to be religiously Jewish, secular Jewish or ethnically Jewish to use this term.

The term was coined by Tirednowhasablog on a Discord message on September 16th, 2021.

The flag was designed by @themogaidragon, on august 29th, 2025. It was made combining this alterhuman flag (link), with black, white, tyrian purple and royal blue as colors. Xe changed the colors to make it not aggressive to the eyes, trying to not change them too much. Let xem know if it is hurting ur eyes!

Intersex Jewish & Disabled Pride Flag

PT: Intersex Jewish & Disabled Pride Flag /end PT

ID: a yellow flag with a purple symbol made of the outline of circle, a six pointed star inside and a dot placed centered inside. End ID

Flag made taking the icons from @prettyboychik Jewish pride icons posts (link) he made by combining the Magen David and the disability sun symbol (link). I found this idea to be both gorgeous and strong. Ence why I've used it for this design. But it's not only reason; the sun symbol is used by intersex people too, which makes the sun symbol perfect for this design!

Result: a simple flag that looks sick.

I've been questioning if I was intersex for some time now, but just today I've discovered that I am. I'm relieved, thought I could make a lilttle flag to celebrate myself.

Thank you so so much @dhddmods, without your blog I probably would have never understood my own body. Y'all are doing an incredibly essential work for the whole community, I can't finds words to describe how thankfull I am ❣️

Tumtum Hamah Flag

PT: Tumtum Hamah Flag /end PT

ID: a flag with five horizontal stripes, the middle one being very thin. Their colors are, from top to bottom, dark orange, orangish yellow, white, bluish green and dark bluish green. In the center is a symbol ressembling a circle with six spikes. /end ID

Tumtum Hamah: a person whose sex is described as obscured, unknown, having neither or lacking some sexed characteristics, through natural development. Tumtum hamah is usually used for intersex variations where the genitals is covered by skin, but it can also be used for other variations of the agenital spectrum.

Note that this is just my *personal* attempt to define tumtum hamah, this definition isn't carved in stone. Even though adam and hamah are usually only used along with saris & ay'lonit, proposal to expand the hamah/adam distinction to androgynos and tumtum has been made, thus creating distinct gendered and sexed subcategories for each gendered sex.

This term is of a physical nature: they depend upon your physicality, and serve a legal purpose in Judaism. However, anyone Jew can use these terms, regardless of their spiritual practice.

Ay'lonit Hamah Flag

Ay'lonit hamah: a mullerian person which (usually during puberty) doesn't develop estrogenized traits, who develops androgenized traits, who has no/underdeveloped or dysfunctional internal reproductive organs or is infertile.

Note that this is just my *personal* attempt to define ay'lonit hamah, this definition isn't carved in stone. Even though adam and hamah are mostly used along with saris, as described by gendertreyf, it isn't meant to be exclusive to saris.

Eshed (אשד) Alt Flag

ID: A rectangular flag with a soft white Star of David in the centre, which is entirely filled in. The rest of the flag is split into coloured segments emanating out from the star. There are 8 segments, with 4 of them being smaller and near the middle of the flag, and the other 4 being larger and taking up the flag's corners. Going clockwise starting in the top left, the segments are dull green, light green, fayded green, greyish green, bluish cyan, dull cyan, dull light redish purple, and medium redish-purple. End ID

Eshed (אשד): a culturally Jewish exclusive gender that is fluid or has fluid characteristics. Exclusive to those who are Jewish and whose gender is fluid in some way. It can be genderfluid, genderflux, or have a fluid characteristic, such as boyflux, or fluid between alignments or gender expression. Those who are fluid in presentation or gender roles especially fit under Eshed.

Eshed was coined by Tirednowhasablog, a reformation Jew, in May of 2021. Og eshed pride flag was designed by @themogaidragon in november 2022.

Saris Hamah Flag

Saris hamah: a wolffian person which (usually upon puberty) does not develop androgenized traits, who develops estrogenized traits or who is sterile.

Timtum, alternatively written timtoom, tumtem, toomtem, tumtim or toomtim:

An androgynous person, with ambiguous characteristics or who is hard to identify as either a man or a woman.

A feminine, effeminate man.

A beardless youth with a high-pitched voice.

A sexy, smart, creative, productive Jewish genderqueer.

An otherwise gender nonconforming person.

“Timtum” was a beneficial Yiddish word (on the Hebrew phrase tumtum) which have a definition due to the fact discussed and also as nebulous because the sex in itself. It can indicate an androgynous people whose sex are uncertain or actually nonexistent, a keen effeminate son as opposed to facial hair and a top-pitched voice, otherwise a great misfit.”

Explanation by the creator of the flag:

« White for benevolence. Blue for divinity & the Jewish people. Gold for the Ashkenazim. The golden peacock is a Yiddishist symbol of creativity & joy. Olive branches represent peace. The Star of David is another symbol for Judaism. The Hebrew word beneath the peacock, "hineni", roughly translates to "here I am" which is a statement of resiliency in the face of discrimination & oppression. »
