I have always attached the meaning of my existence to another human

A hopeless romantic

I would give him my heart and say, “here!

Here is all I am and everything I have to give!”

Was everything

I just want someone to love me the way that I love them

Is that, so much to ask?

Except, the version of you in my head that you’ve convinced me is real can only keep doing this dance of deception for a little while longer
