I actually love that for a lot of people the Switch port of Fire Red/Leaf Green will be the first Pokémon game they’ve played without an automatic EXP Share.

Now you see how we had to do it in my day, when we walked uphill in the snow to school both ways.

Dear everyone who I have met on Pokemon TCG Live lately, who won't see this post anyway but whom I would like to help very much: EXP Share only works if you have it attached to a Pokemon on your bench!!!

GameFreak please let me turn off EXP share

How am I supposed to bond individually with my Pokemon when they’re leveling up off of another mon’s battles?  Leave the others in the box?  So that I can neglect to bond with those ones???

I’ve heard a lot of arguments about the EXP share in terms of game difficulty but I think a lot of people (GameFreak included) are forgetting that there’s fun in getting to know your Pokemon personally through battling.

I have to be honest, I am not happy about the idea of an "automatic" exp. share in SWSH. I deliberately kept my team underleveled in previous games. I feel like that's going to become a lot more difficult now.
