It's okay to have complicated feelings about your identity and experiences. It's okay to have complicated feelings about all the controversies of Michael Jackson, the movie, the artist's associates, his family, his religion, his body of work, or anything else that may become more known (or at least more talked about) after the movie came out.

It's okay if you have to hide your identity to stay safe. It does not make you a lesser fact-folk, it doesn't make you less of yourself.

It's not your fault if you feel internalized shame, or if your systemmates shame you because of your source.

You do not deserve to be abused or ostracized solely for being a fact-folk (or this specific source).

And it's okay too if you grow and change after living in this world for a while. It doesn't cancel out your identity and experience.

Now for the positivity:

I know it is hard to accept oneself in a system, especially with all the taboos and discrimination around/for fact-folks just for existing.

But it is okay to exist. Your existence is wanted by the system, as implied in the ask. And as your systemmates said, you do not control your existence. Existing is not a fault you have to repent for - You do not deserve to beat yourself up for it. What you deserve is compassion, not just from others, but also from yourself.

And you may not be able to control your existence, but you can control how you exist - and I think you deserve to give yourself a comfortable existence. Which includes accepting yourself as you are in the present, not trying to be someone you're not, including a post-factive (because I know some factives are pressured and rushed to let go of their factual identity... you do not have to do that.)

You are not a bad person for existing. You are not a bad person for being a factive, or a factive of HeroVoltsy specifically. You deserve to be proud of your existence and/or identity if you want to be. You deserve to feel good while being yourself.

Your existence is not disrespectful to the youtuber, nor to his fans. Your existence is a wonderful thing, not just for what you can contribute to the system and the world, but also in and of itself. You are worthy of respect and acceptance. Remember that.

Being interested in interacting with your "source" is valid!

Interacting with one's source may be awkward, but maybe you can try dipping bit by bit into it? For example, looking for images before videos, or only watching one video a week before intensifying the quantity in the subsequent weeks. Moreover, you have the support of your system - using it might help with the awkwardness! Maybe you could also set some ground rules, like no intrusive questions, no fangirling, no comparisons, etc. before consuming the source.

Persecutors and Malicitors who are factives, factual introjects, factkin/factualkins, fact DAs, fact endels, factchains, facthearted/synpaths, factlinks, and others I haven't mentioned, deserve respect. Yes, including those who have these roles that others often judge without knowing the person.

Fact-identified malicitors and persecutors deserve to live with dignity, to not be ostracized by their headmates/systemmates/alters/collective/etc. or be called these terms without your consent. Your identity should be respected, not forced to convert into a more respectable one against your will,

whether you choose your fact-identity or you've had it all the time

if your identity can't be boxed into voluntary or involuntary

whether it's partially based on someone you know or someone you don't

whether your source is an abuser

whether your source is someone (in)famous

or a combination of that, or anything else

if you're partially a fiction-folk, divine-folk, nonhuman, and more

no matter what your origins are - soulbonding, plural from birth, created, from trauma, walk-in, others - or even if you don't want to know about your origins

no matter if your plurality is disordered or not, diagnosed or not

no matter what disabilities you have or don't have

even if you're not a protector or a more "nurturing" role, "misguided" or otherwise

no matter your level of "cooperativeness" with your system

no matter if and/or how you want to change

You don't deserve to be abused for just existing, or for your role or fact-identity or source. Not by your own system and not by society. Especially before they get to know you and see your behavior. And if you are, know that you do not deserve it.

You don't have to have a "nurturing" role to deserve kindness.

whether you've known this identity for years or just found out now

Your identity is not inherently harmful. Your existence is not disrespectful towards adherents of that religion in this world. You should allowed to use your name and talk about your experiences. You don't deserve to be banned from servers for being and expressing yourselves.

If you or the body are neurodivergent, Mad, mentally ill, or have any other disability or difference from the norm; even if your identity is based on/caused by those things, it does not invalidate your identity. Yes, including psychosis or delusion-based identities. It does not make you fake or lesser. It does not make you worthy of disrespect.

You're not fake for changing as a person while living in this new body, you're not less of your identity if you need to (re)learn it here. Even if you can't ask for worship or being exalted, you are still allowed to want it. Or feel complicated about the religion you come from. Or have exomemories and exotrauma. Feelings, memories or memory loss, and traumas have no inherent morality.

You deserve to be treated with kindness and respect. Even by atheists, agnostics, and non-worshippers.
