I had a very nice bday today :]<
- having teenage brothers can be tough😅 -
one thing they dont tell you about healing your parentification wound is that its hard to differentiate between overworrying yourself/wanting to step in as the "parent" and a be a savior. My therapist always reminds me that im not my brothers keeper anymore ^_^ theyre going thru weird phases rn where their mean and moody one second then okay the next. we all typically stay to ourselves which is good because we argue way less now, the reason why i worry abt my little brother the most is because hes gone to the mental hospital 2 years in a row and i hope he never does it again >< it caused alot of stress on everyone. im used to him going to track practice but he recently quit so he doesnt have a distraction now. he interacted w our mom today and seems to be doing good. im relieved im already dealing w my own anxiety issues so i dont wanna smother my brothers 24/7 to make sure theyre okay or force interactions w them to assure myself that they dont hate me😭
putting this out in the universe so that this can finally be off my shoulders~✨
So, I guess we are who we are for a lot of reasons. And maybe we'll never know most of them. But even if we don't have the power to choose where we come from, we can still choose where we go from there. We can still do things. And we can try to feel okay about them.
