Yes it was Nox verse, sorry i wasn't clear. Also your myriad branching AUs amuse and entertain me, thank you for having and ficcing them. How many branches *are* there, what's going on in them, and which fic if any are you planning to post an update to next? If you don't mind my asking.

Oh-ah. That’s fine, I getcha. Well I’m glad someone is entertained by them XD. Hmmm, for FFXV aus? I have my Original Time-Travel Idea (not posted yet, but maybe soon if I get time to edit it) where Noctis dies, decides at the last second that he won’t stand for this and time-travels, accidentally dragging the Chocobros, Luna, Ravus, Nyx and One Other Secret Character back in time with him. They all wake up in their younger bodies the night Noctis gets attacked by the daemon, so Much Angst Abounds. Then I have that story’s first spin-off the Deleantur-verse where just Noctis time-travels and he winds up going all the way back to Ardyn’s and Somnus’s time and fixing things before they even fall apart. Finally there’s the Nox verse, which WAS going to be a more light-hearted one-shot to even out the other two’s angst but has since spiraled into total insanity (and I love it). There’s also my Cor x OC romance story that is not a spin-off or time-travel and Knock It Off the Table where I answer the question literally nobody has asked: What if Aulea was a cat-shapeshifter and Noctis grew up being a half-blooded shapeshifter with cat instincts? XDD

No idea what of my many fics (including the non-FFXV ones) are going to get updated next, whichever one screams loudest and lets me finish it I guess (shrugs). Also I’m doing Nanowrimo so delays are inevitable.

I’ve been messing with an AU that takes pieces of MSLIY’s ‘verse and makes a few tweaks to it.

So it’s a Not-The-Chosen-One AU still and mostly using the lore changes I’ve made for MSLIY because that keeps things simple.

But while in MSLIY I’ve already made the hints that Noct talks to the Crystal/Bahamut, that’s not very integral to MSLIY. But it is to this AU, and here’s some of the tweaks.

Noctis decides to pursue higher education in Tenebrae. Before he heads out, he chats with Bahamut, who decides to give him some of his power. Not nearly as powerful as a full summon would be, Bahamut is kinda splitting his lifeforce between the Crystal and Noct.

And Genti is still there looking over Luna just because of how strong she is going to be. Noct and Luna aren’t going to be ridding the world of the Starscourge or anything, but they are going to be prominent historical figures, so they still have divine support and guidance.

I’ve got two versions for Prompto: Luna introduces Noctis to Prompto, who she met in primary school and would run into from time to time and thinks they’d get along. They’re going to the same university but not for the same thing.

Noct and Prompto went to high school together and decide to room together as they both study in Tenebrae. Possibly at different schools and they live between them or something.

I’m thinking Gladio moves out there as well but doesn’t necessarily live with Noct, just near. Ignis probably makes frequent visits to brief Noct on everything. Like once or twice a month?

....Anyways, none of this isn’t going to be written as a full fic, but sometimes there may be one-shots that take place in this alternate ‘verse. Anyone’s free to mess with and take this idea if you want or ask me for oneshots out of it. It’s just a thing I’ve been messing with in my head for awhile now so thought I’d write it down lol

Noctluna Merpeople AU: they live apart from eachother so they send speech bubbles through their hermit-crab friends Umbra and Pryna, who keep them safe inside their shell.

HELL YEAH

-Ravus sees how much Luna adores Noct and can tell it’s reciprocated and he sits down with Noct one day and Noct is bracing himself for Over-Protective Big Bro, and instead Ravus is like “Ok, look… My sister cannot stand the taste of coconut. I know, it’s in everything great, but she can’t stand it and never thinks to tell anyone, so just, don’t give her anything with coconut. Also, someone told her once when she was like 7 that she had a weird laugh and she has covered her laugh ever since, so if you can do something about that, that’d be great. Also–” and Noct is just like ‘Holy shit I shoulda brought a notebook’ lmao

-Noct goes to Ravus to ask permission to ask Luna to marry him. Ravus jokingly makes Noct do something to earn his approval ( “Go pick me up some takeout, I’m too hungry to give an answer.” or “I’ve been stuck in this part of this video game, clear this level for me and she’s yours.” lol)

-Noct getting Ravus into video games with him and they get very competitive and Luna is like “jfc you never should have done that, you guys were such great friends before, at least STOP PLAYING VERSUS GAMES YOU IDIOTS” and also “Move over, bro, I’ll kick his ass for you.” “Wait, you’re picking him over me!?” “I’m picking him over you because you ate the last yogurt!!”

As happy as that one headcanon from my new AU sounds, it’s.... a mix bag XD

Essentially the same world-important roles, but like... Niflheim won the war a long ass time ago and Noct has to hide who he is and his magic, and the crystal has been continuing to get powered and it’s known by him that he’s the last one the crystal needs.

And Luna also has to hide that she’s the Oracle, the people think the line of the Oracle died out a long time ago...

The people would welcome her and the King of Light, but they average person has no idea that the empire would hunt them down and kill them if possible. Cause they don’t want an end to the daemons and starscourge, that would mean an end to all of their power. And their technology, since it relies both on using daemons and, since they took over, the power of the crystal, which would probably become just a pretty rock if once it expends all of its magic to cleanse the planet.

..............Mind you this whole AU started as a “Noct works as a groomer and Luna comes in one day with two very dirty dogs and a plea for help” AU lmao

But then it developed.

And that’s still the case and how it starts. But then it gets serious and potentially angsty. Maybe. IDK. I’m probably never going to write this lol I have too much on my plate for another longfic

Headcanon about a roadtrip with the Chocobros and Fleuret siblings

Ravus and Gladio (and probably Umbra and/or Pryna as well) in one vehicle. Ravus is driving and playing an audiobook. Gladio is reading his copy of the book along with it.

In the Regalia are Ignis and Prompto up front and Noct and Luna in back. Pryna might be in the Regalia to be closer to Luna, while Umbra is probably napping in the car with Ravus and Gladio. The puppers most likely switch depending on their moods, but this is likely the most common set up.

At night, Ravus and Ignis and Gladio probably stay up talking quietly over coffee. Sometimes Luna prefers to join them, other times she likes the excitement around Noctis and Prompto and watching them play their games on their phones.
