After I filmed my gradient combed top fiber prep video the other day I decided to go through and refine my color piles a little. Remember how I said you get to be as particular as you want because it's your handspun? So I separated out the medium green from the dark green and then split the transition color into 2 piles- one for bits that are dominantly green, and one for those that are dominantly purple. I also got out my scale and made sure my color piles weighed the same for each ply. Now I'm definitely ready to get this on the wheel! 🦙 #LladyLlama #LLFC #indiedyer #gradientyarn #gradienthandspun #handspun #fiberprep #wool #woolprep #spinnersofinstagram #spinstagram #handspunstagram #yarnmakersofinstagram #handspunyarn #combedtop #Ravelry https://www.instagram.com/p/B8cm67up6eb/?igshid=11ompz64r5ifd

Might be that some wool followed me home from the spin-meet today... Maybe... It's a Gotland/Swedish Finewool cross. From several different fleeces. I know I'm not the biggest gotland fan, but this might convert me at least a little bit. The locks are so beautiful I can't stop myself from just going over them again and again. Really got everything from a finewool to a rya characteristics here. It's gonna be so much fun experimenting with it. But first... Washing... #wool #spinningwool #spinnersofinstagram #spinning #fiberprep #woollocks #swedishwool #svenskull #swedishfinewool #gotlandsheep https://www.instagram.com/p/CbDRXP1oyzI/?utm_medium=tumblr
There's only so many ways to take a photo of brown floof. So here it is I guess... Wool ready to be spun into the Skogsfrun shawl. 16 days work. From washed fleece to this stage. Now I just need to make all the rolags and we can get spinning. #spinningwool #spinnersofinstagram #spinning #fiberprep #handcarding #högagärde #swedishfinewool #skogsfrun #skogsfrunsjal https://www.instagram.com/p/CacUnpesuw3/?utm_medium=tumblr
Mixing party today. The flickcarding is finally done. 200grams of finewool from Högagärde. Eventually gonna get spun into a 2ply sport/fingering and knit into a Skogsfrun. Can't wait. Will be great! #wool #spinningwool #spinnersofinstagram #spinning #fiberprep #handcarding #högagärde #swedishfinewool #skogsfrun #skogsfrunsjal https://www.instagram.com/p/CaSDZlGIM-z/?utm_medium=tumblr
