Had plans for something else today, but we agreed to a spontaneous hangout with friends today, so I decided to quickly finish these instead. I've been meaning to draw these two moms for a while now, and finally got around to doing it.
They are very minor characters so I don't feel the need to make a full ref as I'll draw them rarely anyway.
More info about both below:
Boxtown Moms.
A little something I drew for the Boxtown Discord.
This is probably the last drawing I did on Adobe Animate. If you don't know, Adobe is going through some changes that are making a lot of people upset (such as hidden cancellation fees and heavy subscription focus). I'm going to look into other options to continue my drawing and animating.
And maybe a better computer model to support said options.
Uhhh...I know there's only, like, 2 minutes left to Mother's Day, but I was busy doing things with my mom, so...
Anyway, here's your little dose of fanfic mom feels! Remember to be a Luke and help out the moms in your life when you can. :)

Happy Mother's Day!
Jane Austen doesn't give us much about good moms, but here are some other fictional moms I love that show us that there's not just one way to be a great mom.
Snow White
Biological moms can be great moms.
Regina Mills
Adoptive moms can be great moms.
Emma Swan
You can become a great mom even if you didn't originally want to be a mom.
Donna Sheridan
Single moms can be great moms.
Amy Santiago
Working moms can be great moms.
Leslie Knope
You can be a great mom in your found family even if you didn't birth or raise someone. We don't get to see much of Leslie being a mom to her actual kids, but we see how she acts as a loving mother figure to April.
Young Clark: "The world's too big, mom"
Martha Kent: "Then make it small"
***************
When Kal-El finds out he's not actually from earth, Clark isn't even his name
Young Clark: "can't i just keep pretending i am your son.?!"
Jonathan Kent: "You are my son, Clark"
Just two points to prove how much a healthy upbringing and childhood shapes a human and how it always stays with you no matter good or bad. Bruce Wayne lost his parents when he was a mere kid, he turned out fine, he turned to be a hero, someone who fights for right and always saves people's lives. Kal-El Aka our superman Aka Clark Kent never even got the chance to meet his biological parents, can you imagine how he'd have turned out if not for the Kents, they took him in, gave him love, raised him with gentleness and he turned out to be the hope of billions of people. If it wasn't for the Kents, who knows how Kal-El would have been like. Point is, both Clark and Bruce turned out to be a hero, but Bruce became a creature of darkness, he doesn't even trust his own friends and keeps contingency plans for every justice league member, whereas Clark, he became a family guy, he found love, he loves his kids, he's seen loss too, he knows what's pain too but it was the Kents who shaped him to be how he is.
A childhood always, i repeat, always stays with you, no matter how good or how bad it was. And that's why a healthy upbringing is so necessary and i think people always ignore it. Having a traumatic childhood fucks you up on so many levels that people can't even think of.
Happy Mother’s Day to my three favorite fictional moms :
Sally Jackson, who married an abusive man to protect her son, who sacrificed herself to protect her son, who put her son above all else before he convinced her to find her own happiness, who basically adopted The Seven and who also would adopt all of Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter (and I think she also adopted Apollo? So?)
Molly Weasley, who heard about her son’s quiet friend and sent him a handmade sweater and gifts for Christmas, who saw the skinny little boy and was like “Ah yes, another child”, who loved Harry just as Lily would have, who cared for each of her adopted children (Harry, Hermione, also Luna and so many others) just as much as she cared for her biological children
Sharon Vey, who knew about her son’s powers and took care of him, who protected her son from Hatch, who encouraged him and never put him down, who accepted her son’s Tourettes, who also ended up basically adopting the entire Electroclan, who stood up to Hatch for her children
.
I love badass fictional moms
