There's something about Finn being the center of the Jedistormpilot hug that makes so much sense. Finn the glue, Finn the lover, Finn the dreamer, Finn who believes in Poe and Rey more than he's believed in anything. Finn who saw an opportunity in the shape of a man and stole him from the First Order even though he was afraid. Finn who instinctively grabs Rey's hand before he runs for his life. I will never be normal about them. Never not once.
Here are the prompts for Finn Week 2023 (September 17-23)!
Reminder that you can pick and choose any prompts you like - for example it's fine to draw fanart of a "general" prompt, and if you really like one of the art prompts, it would be fine to write a fanfic for it (or make any other type of fanwork!).
Audience challenges are for the whole week and you're welcome to download the graphic provided, check off the challenges you've completed, and upload yourself to show your progress :).
If you have any questions, please feel free to send us an ask, or join the Finn Discord (ask for an invite).

Rules
Any type of content focusing on appreciating Finn is encouraged, fics, fanart, gifs, videos, meta, etc.
Gen, any shipping, nsfw, etc are all allowed, but please tag appropriately on Tumblr (eg. nsfw, gore) and ensure any 18+ content or fics over 500 words are under a cut. If you’re linking to a fic on an external site like AO3 with its own tagging system, then a cut is not necessary.
There’s no minimum word count/level of polish, or minimum number of days. Post for one day, post for all seven days! It’s up to you. Sketches, drafts, or other pieces you might decide to work on more later are also fine.
Late posts (not during the week or on the associated theme day) are also very ok
Please tag with #finnweek2023 if you want to be reblogged here. NSFW posts sometimes get hidden in the tags, so you can also @ us if you notice we haven’t reblogged your post. There will also be an AO3 collection available closer to the event week. You are also welcome to tag your audience challenge posts and we'll reblog those too!

Okay but no seriously: What was Finn wanting to tell Rey? Why couldn't Finn simply say what Rey told him was in confidence, and if she felt comfortable to share it with Poe, she would? Why were they leaving him out? As if Poe wasn't feeling inadequate enough after the massive downer of The Last Jedi, he needed it rubbed in his face that he wasn't Force-sensitive, and thus wasn't special or important enough.
Mad props to Poe for powering through: I would not have been so emotionally strong.
I hope they got relationship counseling after because holy shit they need to work on their communication skills. I know it's difficult during an active war, but they could've tried just a bit harder to make it seem like they gave any kind of a shit about Poe.
It feels like such a manufactured split between the three of them, only meant to A) Invoke similar dynamics from previous Star Wars installments that only prove it doesn't matter how many movies they make- the same mistakes will get made over and over and no hope in the universe could ever be enough, and B) Drive a wedge between Finn and Poe, and leaving Rey alone to deal with some other family's generational trauma.
After the war's done, how long do you think it takes them to help Rey stop looking over her shoulder for Ben? Does Ben get a Force ghost too, or is he just dead because the Powers That Be wanted to have their cake and eat it too?
They gave the ReyLo shippers what they wanted with the rushed redemption and kiss, while give the ReyLo haters what they wanted by killing a character who's potential had been squandered far beyond repair
Oh...wait, sorry, what's the situation? What do you mean? How does this work? Finn is gay but he's straight for me, but he's gay for Poe, and Poe is really gay for Finn. And I hate Poe. It's not that complicated.
