It is time.
Okay, BRAINBLAST: so, the cast of Firefly just revealed TODAY that they have a reboot of the show (in cartoon form, OOOH) ready to go, but, much like SaveWoT, they're looking for a new streaming home. So, shall we try to band together with Browncoats (which, let's be honest, is a HUGE fandom) to save BOTH our shows, Wheel of Time show fans?
The animated Firefly reboot has everything but a home. Nathan Fillion JUST did a Game Changer crossover episode with The Rookie. Dropout.tv is aquiring streaming rights to external IPs and innovating by launching Dropout 24/7 recently.
Dropout needs to be the home for animated Firefly.
I've started a Firefly rewatch after the news that it's getting an animated reboot (yay)
and I really want a picture into how the reavers operate their ships. like they're beasts, but they also need enough coordination and know-how to run the engines and fly the ship. How do they make decisions? Who is in charge of supplies like oxygen and fuel? How many times does a reaver ship just die in space because it's lost power? What's the reaver mechanic like?
They should get Zac Efron back to reprise his role in any flashbacks too, just to be funny
In my younger years I desperately wanted a Firefly reboot, but being older and wiser now I see the inherit flaws in the show. So instead of celebrating I'm having all kinds of conflicted emotions.
Raise your hand if you're having the same issue
A "family friendly" Disney+ reboot of Firefly sounds about as appealing as what passes for Italian food at Olive Garden (don't @me, I'm Italian, we're all food nerds and zealots 😁)
At the very least they should get Tim Minear, ffs
In the meantime, D+, just so we're clear:
