Summary: There’s no money for Ilya’s latest group home either, things get even more dire, and then he’s given the shocking news that they have finally located his father’s youngest brother, Ivan Rozanov. It turns out that Ilya’s only living uncle (the middle brother, Roman, is also dead) has been under their noses all along, but they’ve had the devil of a time tracking him down. He lives only about forty kilometers north of Moscow, but he’s notoriously reclusive, had some kind of career in the secret services that nobody can talk about and which made his whereabouts exceptionally fuzzy, and it was thought for a long time that he too was dead, but he’s not, apparently. So they have contacted Rozanov senior and informed him of his wayward nephew who is currently terrorizing the local oblast orphanages and hence should burden himself elsewhere, and Ivan has more or less agreed to take him in. That’s that, then. Ilya can go live with this mysterious uncle, or – well. Probably in the gutter. At this point, nobody would be all that fussed.
(The Heated Rivalry/Shadow and Bone crossover that the people needed. It's me. I'm the people.)
Notes: DON’T LOOK AT ME. I TOLD YOU I WAS WRITING IT. I DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU EXPECTED FROM ME. I FINISHED THE SERIES AND I HAVE THOUGHTS. AND ALSO FEELINGS. AND EXTREMELY NICHE FANFICTION NEEDS. SHUT UP.
similar dynamics; one has big eyes and a sunshine, the other one is grumpy and wouldn't let anyone get close to them but only one specific person can, looks scary but is actually a softy, both fought for their people but joined in different sides and litterly married <:0

Thinking about the little grimace Five makes when Tegan returns after he abandoned her and how the lord doth protest too much, methinks
I love Shadow and Bone so much because every man in this show is trying to be a cool badass but they can’t hide they are all simps for their partners.
"The Doctor's alright, haven't you figured that out by now?"
