Song Review: Fleetwood Mac: “Say You Love Me” (Live at Studio Instrument Rentals 1976)
There wasn’t a studio version of “Say You Love Me” in 1976 when Fleetwood Mac gathered at Studio Instrument Rentals. But that didn’t stop the band from playing the number similarly to how it would sound the following year on Rumours.
Restored and re-released as the band gears up for the Sept. 8 release of Rumours Live - this version does not appear on the record; but this one does - it finds the group getting in shape to record. And when the record they were laying down finally came out, that former blues trio from England was suddenly the hottest thing on the American pop charts.

is it inappropriate to say that this fleetwood mac live album is orgasmic or no.
Depeche Mode went on – look, this is not shocking, many groups continue after the departure of an important member, though Fleetwood Mac probably had the most intense accumulation of this. However, they did reach the point this stopped working. Listen, I assume Behind The Mask was seen for them as another great realignment in the vein of all those they did before, i.e. this time Buckingham left them after Tango In The Night, but they continued yet again. Still, something was missing. Buckingham's replacements were not bad per se, they struggled to achieve his level. They could have gone towards that, had they had more time, though the latter is always a luxury not many musicians can afford. Fleetwood Mac apparently couldn't.
autumn 2020 playlist: i am picking myself out of the earth, i am harvesting myself from the ground again. here is the music of dark skies and the taste of snow: here is the music of my soul as the year begins to wane. i am cracking my bones under the new moon. i am learning to breathe again.
was just listening to the who and remembered that interview where roger said he was mostly inspired by them and ??? he was around my age back then??? and that was so long ago and we are listening to the same band at the same age but like almost 50 years apart i cant stand the fact that we age and i wont be young forever grhrgggg
i’ve always been bitter that the zeppeli’s never showed up again after battle tendency, especially because it’s stated that caesar DID had siblings or could’ve fathered one a le joseph&josuke and we even had a part in italy. this gal’s name is margherita, an ex-lady of the evening/nowgun moll from passione who joined by less than stellar means. her stand, fleetwood mac, can control an enemy’s body for two hours, with variations on said target’s willpower.
margherita was kinda though to design because of her background and that it needed to be camp enough to fit the jojo-verse as well as the time frame. but i do love my freckled-zeppeli kid <3
