TOMMMY DAYTYY YAYYYYAYAYTY
Result from the Pleistocene Cuba #paleostream! SO many cool creatures from here, and we JUST missed them, mostly because well, ourselves
Here the labeled version. This one was rather easy to research because i already ad done most of the research for a island size chart years ago.
This one. The only overhaul that was really needed was Antigone cubensis, the flightless crane, for which it is really hard to come by the original description.
Thankfully @albertonykus was able to provide and another friend quickly made this graphic showing some of the proportional differences between it ant its modern relatives.

And she's finished! Had to cook up a little ref for her, she's a cutiepatootie
I commissioned @teakoodrawz for these lovely images of Harpy!Sun and Harpy!Moon from my fanfic “Flightless”!
These came out absolutely amazing and I cannot recommend Tea enough. They’ve always made amazing art and I'm so glad I was able to commission! The colors look amazing, the pose, the… everything! Thank you again, Tea!!
Cassowary
This is a coloured drawing of a cassowary. The cassowary is a large flightless bird that's closely related to the emu. This bird is indigenous to north-east Australia, Papua New Guinea, and the Moluccas.
Cassowaries weigh around 58kg, with some females getting up to 70kg. They're around 1.5m in height, but the tallest recorded was around 2m. They can run up to 50kmh, and can jump up to 1.5m.
Their diet is mostly fruit, and occasionally fungi and flowers, but they're omnivorous and can consume small vertebrates, insects, fish and carrion when the opportunity arrives.
The average lifespan is around 20 years, but those living in captivity can live up to 40 years of age.
🌎🐧World Penguin Day!🐧🌐
Today celebrates penguins and highlights the efforts to conserve and protect these flightless birds and their habitat.
