A little something for the amazing author DarkEnWing on Ao3, and their awesome fanfic "Fragments of a Ringmaster". I gobbled that fic up. The writing style is great and the setting is, too. I especially like the descriptions of the environment. The Backend, deep Backend, and such. Here I pictured how I envisioned the Backend early in the story, and put my TADC Original Character, Flo, in it. The character in the story is never really described, leaving the reader open to imagine themselves or their OC as the main character. Which is really fun! This was a fun time to experiment with perspective and colors. Not perfectly, never that, but I still like how this turned out. I want to create more environmental pieces of the story, maybe even sketch out some scenarios. There's already awesome fanart out there, linked in the Ao3 fanfic. Go check it out! Please. If you'd like a cool alternative continuation after Episode 8, and explore a fanmade solution to Caine's absence, give this wonderful story a try. Here is a link to it. (Wondering about the double credentials/watermarks? One is my usual username, Acanthea, and the other is my Ao3 username.)
flag id: two flags in the same format. the flag is made up of 8 triangular sections all meeting in the center. in a circle from the top right, the triangular sections are cream, soft gold, gold, caramel brown, brown, medium dark brown, dark brown, and brown-black. there is a dark faded indigo frame around the edges of the flag. in the center of the left flag is the chronodoxal symbol, an outline of a medium dark brown clock with 3 hands. a squiggly gold hand points upwards, a zigzagging brown hand points to the right, and a hooked brown-black hand points to the bottom left. the symbol is outlined and filled with cream. end id.
banner id: a 1600x200 teal banner with the words ‘please read my dni before interacting. those on my / dni may still use my terms, so do not recoin them.’ in large white text in the center. the text takes up two lines, split at the slash. end id.
chronodoxal: a neogender umbrella for terms related to time travel, time manipulation, etc.
[pt: chronodoxal: a neogender umbrella for terms related to time travel, time manipulation, etc. end pt]
concepts potentially included under chronodoxal:
time travel
time manipulation through any means (magical, scientific, etc.)
time moving backwards, slowly, quickly, or otherwise not normally
diverging timelines, paradoxes, etc.
things or people being out of place in time (ex: a modern cell phone existing centuries ago)
changing the past, affecting the future, etc.
extended lifetimes, aging slowly, etc.
and anything else that has to do with time not working the way it should!
derived terms:
tyde, tydes: a chronodoxal person (derived from middle english 'tyde', meaning 'time')
eft, eften: an older chronodoxal person (derived from 'efter', which is 'after' in several languages)
foar, foars: a younder chronodoxal person (derived from 'befoar', saterland frisian for 'before')
chrotem: a chronodoxal gender ('chrono' + 'temporal')
chrin: chronodoxal-in-nature
chrodoxine: having chronodoxal qualities (equivalent of masculinity/femininity). noun form is chrodoxinity
temponic: chronodoxal gender alignment ('temporal' + 'chrono' + 'ic')
transchrodoxine, transchrodox, transchron: transitioning towards chrodoxinity
the term is 'chrono', 'dox' from 'paradox', + 'al', intended for similarity to 'temporal' (referring to time)!
the flag is meant to look somewhat like a clock and uses shades of brown, which i associate with time, increasing in darkness from cream to nearly black to represent the passage of time. the frame is to further emulate a wall clock and is indigo, which i associate with both science and magic.
the symbol is meant to look like the kind of clock that might represent a world where time is regularly manipulated — it combines squiggle (5), slanted north arrow with hooked head, and downwards zigzag arrow, electrolysis from this folder to make the hands. here it is by itself:
[image id: two images of the chronodoxal symbol, which is an outline of a medium dark brown clock with 3 hands. a squiggly gold hand points upwards, a zigzagging brown hand points to the right, and a hooked brown-black hand points to the bottom left. the symbol is outlined and filled with cream. the symbol on the left is outlined and filled in with cream, the symbol on the right is not, and the image in the middle is a blank image of the same size so that the symbols take up less space on screen. end id.]
and here's the template for those who want to coin chrotems!

Pretty Boy Detective Club
12 Episodes If there's any show to watch for their aesthetics and art style it's this one. It's all over the place with different art and it was so excellent. All the characters are exceptionally unique, and I like how they bring it all in at the end for a legitimate lesson about life and stuff how we should all treasure the present and live in a way that we can admire when looking back. "Live Aesthetically/Beautifully" Final verdict: Excellent art sense, interesting stories, wholesome and visually pleasing: 8/10

Record Of Ragnarok
Record of Ragnarok (Shuumatsu no Valkyrie) Jun 17th 2021 - 12 Episodes Ok ok initially I thought this whole show would be a meme because of the concept - humans 1v1 gods in order to continue surviving. But each episode actually introduces some interesting and key facts about each side (both mythology and history) which is super neat to learn about. I also think it's neat that they've incorporated important historical people from around the world, I had no idea who they were but looking them up and learning about them is kinda neat. I'm low-key ok with where they ended it tbh - it makes sense. Idk how long they plan to wait for the second series but it also could be so that production has some more time to wrap up. Now in regards to other people's opinions on how this is just a "slideshow". I think it's whatever, you still understand the story, you still get a feel for the action, it saves the budget, and makes it easier to release more content. - like househusband I'll be chilling for the next portion, it's fun to throw it on and watch, not something I'm invested in but definitely entertaining. 6/10
