A makashi fighter of remarkable precision and skill, she has a pale blue lightsaber with a purple tint, given her incredible levels of skill and self-control.
The daughter of David Cain, an assassin in the Al Ghul Force cult, Cassandra was raised as a weapon, trained to use her connection to the Force as a tool to allow her to kill more effectively. She spent years under her father's tutelage, honed into an unstoppable assassin.
And then she killed for the first time, and as she watched that first victim die, as she felt their life leave them in the Force, as the Force wailed over the death with a grief that shook her to her very bones, Cass realized that the Darksiders had lied to her. The Force was not her tool to use as she pleased, to hurt and kill at a whim. And she fled.
She was found by Master Barbara Gordan, a Jedi shadow who had risen rapidly through the ranks despite her young age. Barbara sensed the pain and fear and dedication in the young Force-sensitive and took Cass back to the Temple with her. She attempted to take Cass as her apprentice, briefly, but both of them could sense in the Force that they weren't bonded.
Eventually, Barbara was called away for another mission, and she didn't take Cass with her; instead, she advised the girl to go to her fellow shadow Bruce Wayne for more training and more help in learning how to serve the Force without the Darkside. She bonded to Bruce immediately in the Force and began to learn from him, accompanying him on missions and discovering her new connection to the Force as she went. Since Bruce already had a padawan, she remained officially Barbara's padawan, though most of her training was with Bruce.
Only a few years after coming to the Jedi, she went on a solo mission to infiltrate a dance company suspected of serving as a front for smugglers. When she returned from the mission, successful and having mastered a skill that seemed to complete her, she was knighted. The mission having opened her up to the Force as she'd been seeking and her entire childhood more than counting as her trials.
From there, she continued with the Bat lineage, serving as a shadow capable of taking on missions that should have been impossible.
One of Lana’s letters says Arkous felt a connection form between her and the player upon the moment of their meeting. Lana confirms it in the optional Rishi romance scene; “It’s like when we first met. I knew our fates were going to be intertwined completely”. It is implied that a similar bond springs into being when Lana encounters a Pub-side player – though Lana is less candid about it as they are loyal to opposing factions – but also that the same thing happened to her with Theron, offscreen on Maanan.
It’s not like the Force says 💛One True Work Husband💛 upon meeting Theron any more than it says ❤️Great Love Of Your Life❤️ or 💙Captain My Captain💙 or 💚Tea Buddy💚 about the player character. It’s just … this one. This one is important, pay attention. A whisper of future knowing without whys or whens or hows.
Nothing that Lana couldn’t ignore, if she chose to, but Lana trusts in the feelings she gets from the Force. She’s the one who reaches out to Theron initially, on Maanan. (Theron tells a Pub-side player that he’s received a message; Lana says that she senses the presence of a potential ally.)
On Ziost, after their original alliance has ended and while Theron is still nursing sore feelings about being trustfall dropped on Rishi, Lana seeks him out again. When the Republic and Empire have both surrendered to Zakuul and everything has gone to hell, Lana calls Theron up to join her seedling rebellion.
Much later, during the mess with the Order of Zildrog, we get to see Lana in murderous overcorrection mode. Theron was maybe the only person other than the Commander and herself who she didn’t suspect of being the mole. Even after he shoots her, Lana’s traitorous instincts are still telling her that traitorous Theron isn’t a traitor and Lana is so angry about that.
(Theron’s optional death on Nathema is something I’m inclined to write off as an unrealistic product of KotFEET’s delusion that “meaningful player choice” is providing endless opportunities to kill companion characters. Lana is stubborn and self-assured and has repeatedly blown past the player character’s objections to take what she believes is the best course of action; investigating Arkous even if you tell her not to, continuing to work with Theron even if you say it’s a bad idea, putting you in charge of the Alliance even if you don’t want it. Dragging Theron back to the shuttle with her regardless of the Commander’s objections would have been more in keeping with her character than abandoning him to die solely on their say-so.)
From my understanding, a Force bond is the manifestation within the Force of a connection that exists independently of it. Even artificially constructed bonds rather than spontaneous natural ones; after all, you wouldn’t make the decision to intentionally tie yourself to a person you had no connection with. Where things get weird is when Force precognition is added into the mix. You’re not tied to this person yet but in the kaleidoscope of the future there are a thousand possibilities where you will be. When you meet, the presence of what might be is so overwhelming that in the Force it can almost feel like what is.
Which is kind of awkward when one of your destined people turns out to be from the Republic. And also Force-blind so he has no idea what’s happened. And you let him get captured by Revanites and he takes it as a betrayal even though you didn’t mean it as one because you were certain he would survive.
Force bonds and precinct awareness aren’t necessarily markers of a positive relationship. If a person is liable to become your great nemesis whose life you will destroy as you destroy theirs before you die together with your hands around each other’s throats on a crashing ship like you’re the deuteragonists of an opera, obviously they will ping as someone of significant future import.
Theron registers to Lana as an ally, though, before they’ve even met. How could that not influence her behaviour? Lana doesn’t tell him because not being able to feel their connection means that he’s not affected by it in the way she is and because the knowing is an edge she has over him. Even though they have their little personal alliance, they still try to score over each other when the opportunity to aid the Empire at the expense of the Republic or vice versa presents itself. It’s just jostling though. Lana knows that Theron is Special and Important (and Hers). Imperial values hold that you must never hesitate to sacrifice people for the greater good of the Empire but Theron is much too Special and Important to justify loosing for any short-term gain. Theron is Lana’s Force-marked ally which makes him more useful to the Empire alive than dead.
But holding back to allow the Revanite’s to capture Theron isn’t sacrificing him because Theron will survive. Lana knows he’s been trained to resist integration, knows he’s been caught before and managed to turn the tables on those holding him. Either Theron will escape or Lana and their other allies will come for him. Lana would never truly abandon Theron unless forced to choose between him and the Empire; this is just her seizing the opportunity that has presented itself to them.
Theron doesn’t understand that though. Theron can’t feel the connection that marks him as Special and Important. He doesn’t know about the bond because Lana very intentionally failed to tell him, so he assumes that Lana was fully prepared to let him die. That Lana would be prepared to allow someone who was Special and Important (and Hers) to be tortured on short notice isn’t something that occurs to him. And that realisation is distressing for Lana because, even though she’s too proud and wary to admit it to Theron, she misjudged the consequences of her actions. She didn’t intend to break his trust in her. It’s important to Lana that Theron trust her because she trusts Theron.
(She doesn’t want them to die together as enemies on a ship crashing into an ocean moon. It may be terribly romantic in operas but in real life it’s just straight up terrible.)
Yeah, that’s what we’re calling this. Give me a second:
Ahsoka, in the middle of the fight with Vader on Malachor, gets dumped Back In Time, right into the TPM battle between Maul, Qui-Gon, and Obi-Wan. She takes about two seconds to clock what’s going on, most of that delay being recovery from dealing with Vader. She doesn’t recognize Qui-Gon or Obi-Wan, because one died when she was four and the other currently looks Very Baby, but she does recognize Maul, and lbr there’s very little that would stop Ahsoka from taking initiative to beat Maul’s ass on sight.
So that’s handled in trope-typical manner, all is well, they run into Baby Anakin who just won a battle for them despite being too short to see over the countertop, and Ahsoka’s like “Aw, a small child, he’s adorable,” and trying very hard not think about the last time she saw Anakin and how he was trying very hard to unalive her, AND THEN her bond with him snaps back into being.
It’s a weird Force Bullshit thing. The training bond never actually got cut, it just went numb and dead and, from her perspective, it was a free-floating tattered thing that no longer connected to anything.
Except the person it connects to is right there and, without her control, the bond latches on... in reverse. So now she’s the master and he’s the padawan.
Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan are both very ????? about that but a ‘spontaneous’ training bond that pops up with a stranger (who fought down a darksider with a concerning level of knowledge regarding how the specific individual fights) and the Chosen One (who just saved a planet and has said planet’s leader’s fondness) is uhhhhhhhhhhh concerning.
But also like. The Force approves so what can they even do about it?
ANYWAY Ahsoka takes on Anakin as Padawan and nobody trusts her.
(Jury’s out as to whether or not she also develops a similarly ‘spontaneous’ Force Bond of a more equal nature with Obi-Wan, since he and Anakin basically shared her training.)
This little bit of madness was written based on a headcanon of mine, on whether Maul and Savage shared a Force Bond, and if Maul could achieve release through Savage.
Maul and Savage x GN!reader.
Rating: E minors DNI
Contains: unprotected sex, standing sex, oral (reader receiving), possessive marking, slight bit of mind sex, choking and Maul being Maul.
You're warm, warmer than you've ever been.
It's a heat that both surrounds you and penetrates you, leaving you breathless and weak with a sinful hunger and longing. Your neck and shoulders are covered with bruising bites, some larger than others, decorating your skin like a collar of their own making.
Owned.
Possessed.
Theirs.
Your head lolls back against a broad shoulder, a needy sound falling from your lips as you're stretched and filled. Thrust into, again and again.
"Such lovely sounds you make. Are you going to sing some more, pretty bird?" The voice rumbles through you, vibrating you to the very core of your being. Clawed fingers of one hand pinch and roll a nipple, tearing a keening groan from you. His other grips your hip, so tightly that you know his fingers are leaving marks. His hips snap against your rump, burying his length into your heat, scraping over that sweet spot deep inside.
You gasp and mewl at the intense pleasure, his girth stretching you wide, almost to the point of pain.
You love it.
"Slowly, Savage." Another voice, velvet and silk and venom, breaks through your pleasure filled haze. A deep growl tremors through your body, the source slowing his pace. Your head flops forward with a needy whine, your hands gripping his forearms, legs quaking so much that, should he let go, you wouldn’t be able to stand. Only Savage’s strong arms are keeping you upright.
You crack your eyes open, hazy gaze resting on the casual form of Maul. Fire bright eyes meet yours, and he smiles a wicked grin.
“We don’t want our little bird to lose their voice too soon, now do we?” You quiver at his voice, ladened with an intent of the most delicious variety.
He unfolds his arms, exposing his bare chest to you. Your eyes follow his intricate tattoos downwards, drinking him in while Savage slowly ravages you from behind, stoking your pleasure higher and higher. Maul’s grin tilts, becoming more smug, his eyes flashing with arousal.
“Do you enjoy looking at me, little one? Do you wish to touch me? To explore me?” He steps forward, heat radiating from him, crowding you. He grabs your chin, holding your gaze, his smile full of lazy confidence.
“Yes, I feel it. Your desire burns like the brightest star. You wish to touch me so badly. You wish to explore, to stroke and tease.” He hums in contemplation. “Or, perhaps, it is the opposite? You wish for me to touch you, while Savage takes you. That’s it, isn’t it? You crave my touch. Yearn for me to taste you. To pleasure you as Savage uses you. You greedy little thing.” You groan, your arousal burning hotter with each silky utterance. Savage growls behind you, hips snapping impatiently against yours. Maul’s eyes flicker, his breath catching ever so slightly.
And you know why.
This isn’t the first time you’ve been with them like this, caught between the two, driven half mad with passion and pleasure and the potent rush of subjugation.
The first time had been… awkward. For you at least. When you’d caught Maul’s eye, and he’d brought you back to his chambers, you’d expected to be alone with him.
You hadn’t expected Savage to join you.
But Maul had explained, in an all too brief moment of vulnerability, that he was incapable of pleasing you the way you wanted. Of enjoying you the way he sorely wanted. That he had been robbed of that ability by some Jedi or other.
He’d assured you, though, that he was able to enjoy you through the bond he shared with Savage, tenuous as it was. He’d be able to enjoy the pleasure Savage took from you, and you’d take from Savage. You admittedly hadn’t understood at the time.
It had been the best night of your existence.
You quickly became addicted to them.
A sharp tug of a nipple and another bruising nip to your shoulder breaks you from your meandering thoughts, bringing you back with a gasp.
“Come back to the present, little bird.” Maul’s voice is little more than a heated, velvetine growl. His eyes are hooded with the echoes of pleasure you know are shooting across their bond. His grin is loose, soft breaths matching those of his brother, his eyes burning like embers..
Your eyes roll back as Savage brushes your sweet spot again. The fingers gripping your chin squeeze your cheeks, dragging your attention back to the crimson Zabrak before you.
“Ah ah ah, keep your focus on me, little one.” He presses a possessive kiss to your lips, then tips your head back and nips at your throat. The sharp points of his teeth indent your tender skin, the subtle threat of yet another bite sending a heated thrill through your naked body.
Savage growls behind you as you clench around him, burying his head into your opposite shoulder, stilling inside you.
You know he has to, or else this will come to an end, but you still keen the loss of friction. You wiggle your hips, try to coax him into motion again.
You gasp as he shifts his head with a growl, one large horn poking under your chin effectively keeping your head back. Your arms flail and tremors rocket down to your gut at the dual pain-pleasure as they bite and suck at your throat and shoulder, leaving yet more marks in their wake. Your hands fly to grip the both of them, hooking around their necks, in front and behind, clawing at tough skin as you cry and mewl at the sensations.
“Please…please…” A large pair of hands rake claws up your sides to your chest, pinching and pulling at your nipples.
Smaller, maddeningly confident hands slowly creep down your body to your hips, his touch teasing and barely there. Slowly, terribly, gorgeously, they’re tearing you apart.
The crimson Sith kissed up to your ear.
“Patience my dear. You’ll get your reward in time. For now, however, you will accept what we give you.” Calloused fingers finally find your sex, stroking and teasing with an almost gentle touch. You groan, head lolling back, missing the mischievous grin shared between the brothers.
Until you feel lips brushing their way down your body.
Your eyes fly open with a gasp as sharp teeth bite at the meat of your thighs, rough tongue soothing the sting left behind. Large arms wrap around you, holding you in place, thrusts restarting, becoming sharper with each passing moment. You groan and whine, breath coming in quickening pants with each hard thrust.
You were getting close.
And they could feel it.
“Ah, your desperation is delicious, my sweet. You’re so close. Yes, I feel it. You want your release. You need it. You crave it. Such a greedy thing. But not yet. No, I think you can hold out a little longer.” You sob at his words, thrashing in Savage’s arms.
“Please, my Lord. Please!” A hard bite to your shoulder is your answer, drawing a squeal from you.
“He said: not yet. Be patient, little bird.” You catch Maul’s grin, before he devours you completely. You throw your head back with a cry, Savage tightening his grip on your writhing body.
Maul is brutal in his pleasuring, sucking and licking and nipping at you, driving your passion higher and higher. His hands hold your hips in a bruising grip, holding them in place while Savage keeps you standing.
Savage’s thrusts are becoming erratic, harder and harsher with every minute. His grunting breaths fan over your throat.
One hand moves up to your neck, his palm easily covering the expanse. Clawed nails prick the flesh as his grip slowly tightens, until you can barely take a breath.
Your pulse thunders under his hand.
You’re vulnerable and endangered, electrified. It’s exquisite and exhilarating.
Your head swims, your vision darkening, your hearing little more than staticky white noise.
You can only feel.
You can only feel Savage pounding into you, hitting that sweet spot again and again, sending red hot shocks of pleasure to the base of your spine, stoking your pleasure to the point of eruption.
You can only feel Maul’s mouth on you, hot and greedy as he devours you whole, body and spirit. You can only feel their burning eyes staring at you, setting you aflame with want and need and desire, leaving your very soul as exposed and naked as your body. You’re desperate for it to continue, but, at the same time, you crave the ending.
Maul’s grip is getting tighter and tighter the closer Savage gets. His grunting growls vibrate through you, sharp and electrifying, mixing with Savage’s thunderous rumbling.
It’s all you can do to hold on, gripping Savage’s arm in a vice hold, a strangled keening emitting from your throat. Savage releases his grip ever so slightly, allowing you to take a breath before squeezing again. The danger excites you further, and they know it.
You’re so close… you’re so close…
A cold pressure pushes against the barriers of your mind; stroking, clawing, teasing. It coaxes you to the very brink and holds you there, sending your pleasure higher than it’s ever been before. His voice sounds from within your mind, demanding and silken and inescapable in his command.
“Come for us.”
As if subjected to a powerful Suggestion, you can only obey.
And you do so, gladly.
You give in to the white hot, mind-, body- and soul-shattering orgasm, just as Savage releases your throat, allowing your voice to flow freely. You shriek a tortured scream, thrashing and flailing and writhing between them. You scream until you’re hoarse, and then scream some more. You feel Maul drinking you down, sucking and lapping every drop of your release from you. His groans and growls and ministrations prolong the glow of your supernova release, your hand clawing his scalp as you try to simultaneously pull him closer and push him away, the nails of your other hand digging into Savage’s forearm.
Finally, Maul relents, releasing you from your torture. You slump in Savage’s strong and steady hold, weak limbed and boneless, legs quivering and arms limp. You float somewhere heavenward, breathless and overwhelmed with pleasure.
Maul rests his forehead against your belly, sharp horns poking the soft flesh, breath hot over your oversensitive skin. He pants and gasps as Savage’s hips snap erratically against you, using your now pliant body to chase his pleasure until he spills inside you with a guttural roar. You keen and mewl as his liquid heat floods you, seeping from your connected bodies to dribble down your thighs.
Maul throws his head back with a cry at the same time, hands harshly gripping your hips as his body quakes. His pelvis rocks in time with Savage’s, as if painting your legs with his phantom seed, a thought that makes you quiver. His expression is almost pained in his pleasure, brow knitting together and eyes squeezing shut, mouth twisted in a grimace. And then he relaxes, spent and sated.
Savage collapses backwards onto the bed, dragging you with him. He twists onto his side and wraps his arms around you possessively, holding you close. Maul crawls up alongside you and collapses front first, face turned towards you, eyes closed as he attempts to regain control of his breathing.
You tentatively snake your hand towards him, fingers tickling and gentle as they caress the patterns of his tattoos and stroke over the raised ridges of scar tissue. He stiffens at first, cracking an ember-warm eye open to regard you with a languid smirk as he relaxes under your hand.
“Did I give you permission to touch me, my insolent little bird?” You smile sweetly, putting on your most innocent expression. Savage rumbles a chuckle behind you, nipping at a shoulder blade. His grin is evident against your skin, and you feel him begin to harden against you again.
“Perhaps they seek punishment, brother.”
You shiver between them at the prospect.
Maul turns on his side, fingers lifting your chin to look you directly in the eyes.
“Mm, perhaps.” You gasp, arousal already beginning to build again.
“Yes, our little bird is most certainly in need of…further correction.” He smirks and leans forward to press a hungry kiss into your lips.
You’re in for it now, that much you know.
You’ll be lucky if you can walk for the next week, you think as they begin to once again take you apart.
so. This was done awhile ago, but I forgot to post it. Here it is. Good news is Part 3 is finished, and is only waiting for my Beta. Part 4 is also mostly done. Part 5...is outlined.
I don't think there's anything that needs warning in here, beyond my best attempts at grammar, but let me know if that is not the case. Enjoy!

As it turns out, bonding with six people, however extraordinary, was not enough to relieve the pressure of being Extra Force Sensitive. As such, Anakin still could not safely leave his tiny little room without his brain trying to eject itself through his nostrils.
Not that he had actually tested that—contrary to popular healer-medic belief, Anakin did prefer life, thank you—but he could feel his hypersensitivity to even the searing hissing contempt of the padawan meal bringer, and the sharp swirling of his men's emotions.
Naturally, this did not mean Anakin couldn't feel the walls closing in on him, inch by excruciating inch. Because of course, he was Anakin Skywalker and nothing went well for him.
After he had made all of the arrangements he could, he had spent the night in deep conversation with no less than seven different holocrons. It had been fascinating, but he really needed to talk about...all of it with Rex. Talking to Kix probably wouldn't be a bad idea either, for that matter. Specifically, he wanted to talk to them about the...boost he wanted to give to them. They would be able to tell him if what he had in mind was welcome. Or insulting. The—his?— men could view it as insulting, as Anakin was insinuating they, as they were, were not enough. From a certain point of view.
Anakin curled his fingers in the hem of his Healing Hall robes, trying to squeeze the shaking out of his extremities by sheer force of will. It only worked a little, as the jitters moved from his extremities, both flesh and durasteel, all the way up to his shoulders to shutter down his spine.
He could really use a long session of moving meditation. Or a spar. A spar would be nice. Something, anything, burn off even a tiny bit of this excess energy humming through his veins would be welcome. But Anakin didn't have his 'sabers, or even a stick to do his katas with, and while he could do them open handed, he also still had to think about the many IV needles in his elbow keeping him sufficiently fed and hydrated. Exercising when attached to sharp thing inside your veins was never a smart idea.
Anakin just wanted to think again.
Which may or may not explain why the next morning Kix and Rex, having come to his tiny room for seemingly the sole purpose of fussing at him, caught Anakin staring contemplatingly at the wall separating his room from the shielded hall at oh-excruciating-hundred in the morning.
How they had gotten past all of the Healers out in the Halls, Anakin didn't know, but he wasn't about to question the competency of Captain Rex and CMO Kix of Torrent for all the Sunbeetles on Tatooine when they were glaring at him like that.
Kix took one look at him, and demanded, "Just what do you think you're doing, General?"
Anakin's eyes widen on their own accord, and his mouth dropped open. "Uh—"
This was how Jesse and the squad of nine following him found General Skywalker eating his breakfast meekly while CMO Kix watched over him like he was a particularly foolish Shiny, and Captain Rex looked on with faint amusement.
~~~~~~
Over the next couple of days, Torrent didn't sit idle, even as most of them waited for their turns to bond with Anakin.
They had discovered, through one very bad no good downright horrible instance they will likely never talk about again, it took a few hours for the new bonds to settle before the bonds were ready to withstand the strain of being stretched by both distance and artificial shields, as if they were hot sufficiently settled, it could snap. Thankfully, no one had died so they could learn that particular lesson, but they would definitely not be repeating that mistake any time soon.
This meant he got a solid four hours with each squad of Vod'e.
Anakin, when he paused long enough to get his bearings, spent most of his time carefully not questioning why so many people were so willing to bond with him. He didn't understand, but he was also beyond the point of caring.
He was in their heads. Not a single one of them meant him any harm. They were even happy, that he wanted to bond with them. He was still awed, every time he reached for them, only to find they had already initiated a bond.
In the mean time, he was learning a great deal about his men as they went about their business.
Nausea and his three fellows, who were almost as vicious at cards as he was, had been unleashed on the various underground sabacc rings in the lower levels. All four of the card nexu had been part of the squad Anakin had bonded with after the Command Staff in a blatant display of Rex's frankly terrifying planning skills. Jesse may have helped, but Anakin had no doubt Rex was making most of the decisions.
Guide had needed to give the four a rather intense crash course on Gambler Etiquette, like the necessity of loosing every so often, even if on purpose, so one is not blacklisted from that particular gambling ring. They had taken the lessons well, if not gracefully. The four of them were making a killing, as expected.
Coric and Jaded, also part of the squad with the card nexu, had joined Kix in his quest to gleefully wringing the best deals from Anakin's connections in the medical side of the Black Market, and other, more legal acquaintances, using the credits the nexu were collecting in frankly awe inspiring speeds.
Some of the Vode from the other squads help the medics and first aid specialist by collecting tradable goods the three could then use to get what they otherwise couldn't extract with credits and determination. Slip and Fase assisted them in this endeavor.
Ridge and some other Vod'e had begun making progress on contacting various people who'd arrange for the delivery of the food. They succeeded, even though elite soldier training did not include how to order supplies from civilian businesses. Shocker. Needless to say, as each squad rotated through his room to accept his bonds, there were many troopers who got a crash course on professional comm etiquette.
Hardcase and Denal had decided to divide and conquer, last Anakin had heard.
Hardcase had gone to one of the weapons dealers Anakin 'did not know' and who definitely did not owe him a favor or ten. The last time he had commed Jesse with an update, Anakin had taken one look at his grinning face, and decided he did not want or need to know what made the gunner grin like that, and left Jesse to it.
Denal had gone to Padmè's handmaidens for advice as Anakin had suggested. When Anakin had heard from him, well...he had looked down right gleeful, talking about knives that could be hidden in hair, and such. Anakin decided the biliyan-like vod could keep the knives the handmaidens had no doubt actually given him, so long as Anakin didn't have to know anything more.
CHAPTER 7 “And I’ll Follow the Light in You”
Obi-Wan settles carefully near Cody’s head, staring down at his slack face. The curious scar that curls around his left eye stands out against the pallor of his skin. Slasher reaches out and presses his palm against Cody’s head, just a point of contact and Obi-Wan lifts his shields enough to feel the desperation pouring off the big clone.
Thank you as always to @cacodaemonia for the beta and to @anstarwar for the FABULOUS chapter art!
It’s very strange how so many people in fandom hate the idea of Finn and Rey having a force bond when it’s not even a little bit unreasonable to apply this to their relationship. Force bonds are described as occurring “slowly over time, requiring them to grow together and understand each other.”. We already know how much Finn and Rey care about each other, how much they’ve grown because of the other.
They’re both force-sensitive.
Finn was able to sense Rey’s death
Rey is described as “thinking of the way his presence had become so bright in her mind”
In the Star Wars Adventures comics, Finn is able to sense that Rey is in trouble
They were able to bond through the force because of how strong their relationship had become over time. Saying they have a force bond isn’t doing anything but acknowledging the strength of their relationship.
