What was your latest cover/blurb buy? . . I picked this beauty up last time I visited Dymocks in Canberra, isn't the cover intriguing?! . On a quick side note, I've noticed lately that some hardcovers from Dymocks come with this plastic covering. I don’t know if it's their decision or certain publishers but it makes books feel like library books imo 😅 I do appreciate the extra protection for the dust jackets though. . This is an anthology that I picked up on whim just from the blurb, and I wish I had it with me now so I could tell you all, but the Goodreads description will do! . Oh, Blessed Bri'Land - WAYYYYY BACK, in late March, I attended a writing workshop led on IG-Live led by Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah #FRIDAYBLACK. Partway through the workshop, @king_nk assigned a writing exercise. He asked us to close our eyes and picture a beach, in part as a diversion from whatever circumstances we had been made to endure, a mere week-and-a-half into the #coronalockdown. At the end of the allotted writing period, I raised my hand 🖐🏾 and was given the chance to read the first few sentences of what would become a short story, paying tribute to my first visit to the Bahamas 🇧🇸.
