Friendly reminder for that part of your mind that tries to convince you it's not that bad or that you're faking: the usual amount of pain a human experiences is zero.

I don't know who needs it but here's your sign to stop putting off that wheelchair cleaning/maintenance...
lubricate
clean the hair out of your casters
clean your seat cushion/cover
There's this idea floating around that chronic illness is caused by, or is the same thing as chronic/severe trauma, and that if the trauma stops/is solved so too will be the chronic illness. This is... sometimes true.
Conflating the two as always being the same is unhelpful though, because some of us will simply just never recover from our illnesses.
Even in cases where the illness can be brought on by the trauma (Which is possible [but again, not always the case] for things like seizures, POTS, Fibromyalgia, chronic migraines etc)... Just getting rid of the trauma won't fix the damage it did. Just solving PTSD won't undo the Fibro I have, or the POTS.
Sometimes you just end up living with the consequences. Sometimes there just isn't an earthly fix.
did ask. do care. would miss you.
This is your friendly reminder that Conclave and Nosferatu are both available right now on physical media, and include things like behind-the-scenes / making of documentaries and feature commentary.
In regards to the tagged Halsin hate post, this is your friendly reminder that you do not put any criticism or hate towards characters you dislike under their main tags. You use "x character" critical.
For example, if I wanted to make a post criticizing Astarion, I would put it under "Astarion critical". That's it. Not under "Astarion Anuncin", "Astarion bg3" "bg3 astarion", etc. Because I understand that people who like Astarion do not want to see or engage in negative debates over him.
There is a reason why Fandoms have Etiquette, uncultured swines!
Friendly reminder that you have the right to love
But not the duty to
Learn to love your failure and nurture it as much as you do your success. Success sits high on a pedestal smiling, treated with such warmth and care. Meanwhile the person in you that failed-- over and over, relentlessly pushing to the finish line weeps.
Find the beauty in your growth. Hold it's fragile hand and kiss it's knuckles. The struggles you are enduring now will surely be rewarded. We only have today, so smile big at the cloudy sky. Scribble a heart next to the equation you couldn't solve. Try again.
I will not say it is all going to be okay. I will say that you will feel more okay if you love the parts of yourself that aren't okay.
