Happy Tumblr Day

I had a dream that tumblr had a day called "Happy Tumblr Day!" where they brought tumblr ads into the real world. Everyone's feeds were filled exclusively with old text posts from deactivated accounts: cryptic messages, fake stories, or nonsense which initially only got 5 notes were all blazed to everyone's profiles.

People were reuniting with old friends and asking them questions in the DM's, which were clearly answered by a bot. Now that these accounts had been resurrected by tumblr mods, people called them 'zombie accounts', until a small group of people started hailing them as 'the new Gods.'

This all came to a head when I was walking home, and a man poked his head out of his doorway and shouted 'behold! A gift from the new Gods!' with the biggest smile on his face. The ground was littered with thin blue slabs, all of which bore a giant tumblr logo. I read a few as I ran over them: 'We're sorry, our servers appear to be down. Our engineers are working on fixing the issue', a keysmash, the phrase 'Froom, Froom Froom!', 'We fucked up. Here's a magnet in compensation' and 'Have no fear! Froom is here!'

I had much fear.

I kept running & something was airdropped directly in my path. It was bright pink and fluffy, and had a portrait of Jojo Siwa on it. At first, I thought it was a rug, and I was like "I guess I could use this...?" but then the back peeled off & I was left with a giant, laminated Jojo Siwa portrait, with a metal background. As I was holding it, I accidentally pressed a button in the right hand corner, and it played back a recording of Siwa's voice:

"I buy all my giant floor magnets from Froom! Custom designs you can really stick down!"

I dropped the magnet & finally made it home, where tumblr users were all posting, frantically, about 'The Final Day'. YouTubers suddenly began posting sponsored ads for Floor Magnets, and sponsored tweets swiftly took over twitter.

Turns out the entire thing was a week long ad campaign for Froom.
