Although Rune Lovegood adored living in Denmark, where he’d grown up and spent most of his life, the bit that frustrated him the most about it was how isolated he felt from the rest of the wizarding world. The branch of the Ministry of Magic that he worked in near his home was much smaller than the one in Britain, and whenever anything remotely exciting happened he found himself in the Floo once again, headed to London.

He’d been sat for nearly an hour by a reception desk in the main atrium, waiting to see his boss with no end in sight. The receptionist had been no help, and Rune was getting more antsy with every passing minute. His wife was leaving for a business trip that evening, and if he was late in coming home that meant she’d have to leave their son and daughter alone - which was always a huge worry when Celestia was trying a new type of medicine.

Frustrated, he decided to take matters into his own hands. “Excuse me - ,“ he said in a thick, Danish accent to the next person he saw walk by. “Do you know where the head of the Department of Misinformation is? It seems like everyone here has been on their lunch break for the last hour...”
