Get meat with bones in it.

Put in crock pot with broth or water

Use veggies or fruit to season.

Cook for 8 hours so a lot of the bone tissue softens and breaks down.

Remove meat, veggies/fruit and eat as much as you want!

I got a message to my dietitian to get her documentation over to the surgeon.

I’ve done all I can. All my doctors have releases and I will swamp my insurance with documentation.

I got my COVID-19 vaccine!

My endocrinologist and pancreas transplant team said I need it plus I’m a health care worker. So I got it done this afternoon. I was observed for 30 minutes after getting it. No reaction for me and I have a lot of autoimmune issues. The nurse that administered my vaccine was educated in diabetics and their medical devices so my Dexcom didn’t bother her. She gave my injection in my left arm. I have some discomfort now, 3 hours later, but that’s it!

The cat is my emotional support animal named Zeus. He slept on my hand while I took a nap.

The 2nd pic is of me getting done with a 12 hour shift. I needed a shower but my hair still smelled good and I was tired but a good kind of tired.

9 days of 12 hour shifts but I love my job!

I am still on weight loss meds but I needed a higher dose. I had blood sugar issues because my insulin pump failed so I went to multiple daily injections but my blood sugar was even higher so I ended up gaining some of the weight I lost. I’m still down 22lbs but I need to lose like 25lbs more by May 1st to make the UNOS list for my transplant.

I got to hold my friends new puppy! He is such a sweet puppy!

I am gonna go out with friends in a week so I can have a drink and have some fun! The last time I went out was the night I got knocked up with my youngest. Lol She’s 5 now...

30 grams of fat

130 grams of carbohydrates

2 grams of dietary fiber

Plus I’m on prescription medication that make my brain not release endorphins when I eat. I get zero pleasure from eating. I can legit go almost the entire day without eating because I am 100% eating to live.

My birthday present:

The only piece of jewelry I have allowed my husband to buy me. No diamonds here. I wanted moissanite. No part of it is sharp enough to hurt a patient. It’s perfect!

I’m feeling better and I got my new bras from Fredricks of Hollywood (my boobs are too big for Victoria’s Secret) and they all fit me perfectly! This is a pic of one of them. I’m ordering more.

Well...I slept for more than 24 hours in the last 2 days!

I just took a bath, shaved and put oil on my skin so I’m all buttered up! I feel better except my tummy is yucky. Hopefully I feel better while I’m at work tonight...
