Bloody Dreams (Knight! Lohen x Mage! Reader)
Warnings: swearing, slightly suggestive, very fluffy, mentions of other Mondstat characters (Varka, Alice, Klee, Jean, and Kaeya) , Reader is Alice’s disciple, hickeys (guys they didn’t get freaky [not yet], just Lohen being a menace), gender neutral-ish reader?
Idea: zhuliani2 (TY BTW IT WAS SO AWSOMESAUCE), original post
Dividers: alienationist
Word Count: 704 words, not proffered
You walked through the quiet, sleepy roads of Mondstat. After a year and a couple months (it felt like a whole century) of basically locking yourself in, you had finally finished something that would definitely keep Alice off your heels for a while. Using Sumerian technology, you managed to create a catalyst that would grant the sleeper anything they desired that wasn’t within their grasp in the material world.
Once you made your way to the Statue of Barbatos behind the Cathedral, you placed the catalyst right underneath its shadow.
“Please work..” You prayed under your breath as it began to glow.
You watched the catalyst do its job, glowing brightly, till it abruptly stopped. Picking it up, you noticed the core has went from blue to green.
It has worked! You smiled, proud of an outstanding achievement that would definitely get you Alice’s approval. And also probably give Jean a break from Alice and her daughter, Klee’s shenanigans.
“Well, well, well.. Doesn’t the little mage know it isn’t safe to walk around at night~?” A voice whispered into your ear, making your jump.
Turning around, you saw Lohen standing with his hands in his pockets, a stupid grin plastered on his face. Out of all the knights, it HAD to be him.
“What the fuck’re you doing here?” You snapped at him.
“Doing a nightly patrol around the city. Although, I think I should be asking you that question.” Lohen replied, taking a step closer.
“N-none of your damn business!”
“The device in your hands says otherwise..”
Lohen snatched the device from your hands, admiring it in the moonlight. Flustered, your tried to grab it from him, yet his reflexes were too fast.
“Ah ah.” He said teasingly, holding it above your head, “How am I supposed to know that this isn’t some world ending device you made, little mage?”
“Either you confess to it.”
“Or we’ll use the other methods.”
You froze at his words. The last time you had went through those “other methods”, you had thought you would’ve never survived it. You surely weren’t going to last another section of THAT.
“It isn’t a world ending device or whatever,” you hesitantly said, “it’s just a dream granting device.”
“‘Dream granting’, how so?”
“Anything you wish for in the real world, will happen within your dreams.”
“Hmm, not bad for a little mage. But I’m a little hurt.”
“Hurt?”
“You made a dream granting device, and never bothered to tell your dear beloved knight?”
Spluttering at his words, you finally grabbed the device from his hands.
“It was supposed to be a secret!” You hissed at him.
He stared at you with those stupidly pretty eyes of his, before his face lit up. You could tell from the smug smirk that it was going to be a good idea.
“Grant dreams you said?” He said, now standing within kissing length of your face, “why not demonstrate it?”
You rubbed your sore neck, feeling the bites burn beneath the skin of your palm.
“That’s definitely leaving a mark..” you winced, resting against the wall of the Cathedral.
After a couple minutes of…an innocent make out session, Lohen had fallen asleep on your lap due to the effects of the catalyst, a smile still painted on his face.
Weaving your fingers through his hair, you stared at the moon, trying to processes what had just happened.
Lohen’s request had definitely been fulfilled, well against your wishes, but you found yourself surprisingly calm.
Over time, you begun to fall to the catalyst’s effects, and joined the rest of the slumbering city.
And forgot the fact that everyone would see you guys like this.
“Gah- Hey! Wake up!” A rough voice called out, and you annoyingly opened your eyes.
Varka was standing above you and the still asleep Lohen, Kaeya standing behind him with a very amused expression.
“Whatever you guys uh..did last night,” Varka said, eyeing the now purple bite marks on your neck, “should’ve probably stayed in a room..”
Kaeya, after so long of holding it in, broke out in laughter, using Varka as a support.
You were definitely gonna kill Kaeya later. Well, not before you killed Lohen at least.
Do not feed to AI, or steal and use as your own work.
