Oh my good LORD such suffering I also accidentally pressed skip instead of pause on my c210K which threw me off and PISSED ME OFF TO HECK Definitely resting tomorrow and having a bath and I will try to be an actual human and do the run again on Thursday!!
Eurgh guys I’m so ill, I had to take the day off work! Currently lay in bed watching bbc news, drinking tea and feeling very sorry for myself. Starting to really worry that I won’t be well enough for Sunday’s 10K, so today I will be undertaking all possible methods for self healing - any suggestions?
Holy balls!
Before I even started running I realised I’d accidentally somehow deleted the app I use, and when I redownloaded it none of my history was saved. Then I spent another ten minutes working out how to restore the history and renew the subscription, by which point i was fuckin freezing and ready to have a lie down. On top of that, I had to play football with a bunch of students for an hour on Thursday and my legs are still sooooooo achey so it was a bit of a struggle.
BUT. It was lovely and cold and bright this morning, the scenery was gorgeous and I made a variety of woodland friends, the frog was literally just chilling right next to me, I noticed him after I’d finished stretching!

Slightly better than yesterday but still so much harder than usual!! Does anyone have any suggestions as to why I’m struggling so much with the running atm?
I like to call this selfie “The realisation that you are 2 and a bit miles from home and have very tired and sore legs but if you don’t run back you will not return for a very long time.” All jokes aside I had a great time and my once perfect running shoes are now well and truly muddified. If anyone is wondering why I’m running the distances in such a long time, not only am I very slow, but I’m doing a c210K app so the run has 10 minutes of walking as well as the 50 minutes of running which slows things down a bit!
The past two days I’ve eaten really well and I’m really proud of myself and I feel good for it 💪🏼
My shin is flaring up, so I’m dialling the amount of runs back this week and I won’t move on from 5K until I feel stronger on the leg front 👊🏼
