I ran 24k on Christmas Eve and refueled with lots of holiday food & wine. There’s nothing more to say but Merry Christmas 🎄
23:18. Not the race, or time, I was hoping for but given the conditions, I can’t complain! Still good enough for 3rd in my age group and 8th female finisher 🌨❄️
After having a break and being sick, I finally went running and it was SOOOOOO good 😍😍 Today's run was 3.3 km in almost 25 minutes. I ran in intervals and time just went by so fast. I ain't gonna follow any plan at the moment but just try to run when I feel like it 🏃
Four miles, 17 degrees, Happy New Year! It was so cold that my quads are like ice blocks despite multiple layers, and my calves were so tight it felt like running through sand. Miraculously my legs and lungs both held up and we finished in under 40 min! I don’t even remember the last time I was that cold while running. So many crazy people out there with us, too- I love runners. Happy New Year, friends- hope your 2018 is bright and joyful.
Run streak day: 300!!! Miles for the year: 1,104.21 December miles:14.55 Just a quick mile today, its been super busy so that about all I could fit in unfortunately, oh well there will be more miles tomorrow! Happy running everyone!!
The gods of running have dealt me a winner, and just when I could really use one! Tonight I felt really really fast (those who know me are aware, that is a rare treat) and I loved running up and down the hills. My 10k in London is next weekend, lets hope I feel this good then.
Here is a shitty photo of the shitty christmas decorations in my town because I forgot to take any good ones later. Also there is my egg head too.
I'm at a point now where I have officially let go of any solid plans for my running future. I was aiming to take another stab at the old 42.2 in May, but that would mean being 100% recovered and ready to start training in ~5 weeks. That doesn't seem overly likely, so I'm letting go of that. At some point I'll be able to run again. At some point after that I'll train for and actually complete a marathon. Beyond that I have no goals or plans. And that's fine.
