The God AU that took me more time to draw than I anticipated.
The size of the Gods isn't exact like in the third image. Gods can be whatever size and shape they want.
I decided to make y/n's runes show a bit under their clothes. I would have liked to make a reference of all the runes and how they cover the body but I got tired, I wanted to finish this and I didn't come up with an alphabet yet.
Some info I brainstormed back in July <- especially about the Dissident.
As always with these type of AUs I come up with, I have the concept of a story but I don't really know where to begin talking about it.
I really like how the lineart looks without color :]
An Isekai tale, where you're you from the real world, knowing how the story that you mysteriously enter ends and that the you of that world fails and dies.
In order to save them, the DCA trio from heartbreak, and the world, you find and make a deal with the DCA, all while hiding your identity. In this world they're an all-in-one god like being, they know they fall in love with their you in the future, just not what comes after (they're not totally omniscient and can't predict everything, which is why it shocks them when you show them the set outcome).
They're not exactly happy to make a pact with a stranger before their Y/N, but after you prove your knowledge and promise your help they agree.
You try to stay distant and icy with them, knowing this isn't your world and you're not their Y/N. That you're likely destined to leave after fixing things or die in Y/N's place, whichever happens. At the start, the trio makes it easy, distrusting of you, suspicious, abrasive, and equally cold. They're only using you to save their love, and you are here to ensure they get their happy ending, that's it.
Of course, things get complicated the more time you spend together, and at the very end the truth is revealed. You do prevent Y/N's death, but it's bittersweet. You've made a lot of tough choices and sacrifices to get to this point, including the ultimate one. The god trio and their Y/N are heavily conflicted, Eclipse holding you close, torn and grieving. They can't do anything to fix what's killing you, and don't understand why you did all this for them.
You tell them it was probably for the best, anyway, that your life in the real world didn't equate to much, revolving around stories of characters that didn't really exist, or weren't supposed to. That you're happy some version of you got to have a happy life with the person you loved and that brought you comfort loving and caring for you right back.
Then, you die.
The ending could stay bittersweet, or there might be some multiverse shenanigans Eclipse does to bring you back through reincarnation. But that would be a whole separate story with lots more complicated feelings and dynamics :)
